Exactly. Now let's do auto insurance. No more teenagers or old people driving as they cause the most accidents. Now homeowner's insurance - no more living in a wooded area or by a beach because of the dangers of fires or hurricanes, etc. It's a slippery slope....
What about mobile homes

Prolonged exposure to sun causes sweating. Sweat spreads in unchlorinated pool water and/or evaporates into air and cloud formations -- to rain down on innocent people
Thus making cruising more dangerous than a trip to Walmart
What if it rains on the way to Walmart? So many ridiculous comments on this site. Some, I am sure are intentional.

What are you even typing? You want to mask up after being vaccinated, go ahead. Nobody has a problem with that. Just get over your problem with those that do not.
Still in key west. There is no social distancing and very few wearing a mask. Having a great time. There is more to life than a restrictive cruise. I had the shot and not going to wear a mask.

What I've learned about CC posters on this Carnival Cruise board in the last month...
1: Most but not all long for cruising again
2: Those falling outside of the previous group are either hacked off at the cruiselines for holding their money or are deathly afraid to leave their house again
3: Close to 25% will cruise no matter what the restrictions and have little problem cruising with unvaccinated as long as they are adequately tested
4: Nearly 15% want vaccinated only cruising but believe there should be no restrictions
5: Another 15% say everyone is vaccinated or they're not cruising
6: 20% want ZERO restrictions on resumption of cruising and generally feel cruising should have never stopped as they frequently quote stats to say covid is a hoax.
7: Most of the previous folks also admit to having essentially covid parties in the last year and somehow believe mask wearing is against their faith (from the good book of non-maskism)
8: 15% want the CDC punished for overreach by creating laws/lawsuits that overreach the other direction yet claim it's different!?!?
9: 5% think Bill Gates is implanting microchips in vaccines and are generally angry that they can't wonder off the ship at Cozumel and get sloppy drunk right now
10: 5% don't know this is a cruise board but just love to scream about politics and hatred for socialism
I fall under #1 (love to cruise) and part 2 of #10, dislike socialism.

We scheduled for September 2022. But I don’t see these stupid requirements lasting anywhere near that long. As a country, we’re getting tired of all the bs. If the powers that be don’t wise up, they’ll soon be looking for new careers. Why did we bother taking a vaccine if nothing changes?
I agree, a lot of the country is ready to move on. I am in Key West right now. It is wide open for the tourist, no mask. Some restaurant workers and store workers are wearing mask. Hand sanitizers on the 1/2 price shelf at CVS. Talked to some locals about the cruise ships, they really do not want them back. Tanzanite International is closed on Duval.

In the three counties nearest me over 68% of adults over 16 have had at least one shot! Great job America. The anti vaccine Luddites can remain the draft dodgers of their era. They will have a high risk of serious illness and the associated long term side effects of Covid (10%+ serious blood clots, brain fog, lung damage equal to smokers lung...), much better than a vaccine with known technology and fully tested proven 95% effective.
Hey Pizza Steve,
Give us your expertise background for your expert analysis of the vaccine. Did you stay in Holiday Inn Express.

Instead of not requiring the vaccine, he can change his stance to: I will do whatever is required to generate revenue and get ships sailing. This should have been his stance all along

This is good news from the CDC! Now, the cruise lines have to react by obtain staff that is 95% vaccinated. This may still require a phased in approach. Each cruise line will have prioritize which ships and ports come on line as ships are fully staffed. This is positive movement.

I have cousins on both sides. If you post as if family is watching you dont want to offend, good guiding light here. Consider cc your family you dont want to offend and still speak to next thanksgiving .. or maybe on your next cruise.
You are always respectful of others. Hope others take a cue from you. I'd love to meet you all my next cruise and talk cruising.
Cc should be like your family. Remember the goal isnt to have people think I'd sure hate to meet this person on my next cruise. Let's try to get along.
Good post. It may be too late for some. However, I will have a cold beverage with you on Lido.

Using my airline credit to fly to Key West. I have a second credit that will probably expire before the cruise industry sails again. It will not go to waste. There is more to life than a cruise.

1. Virtual muster drill
2. Limit capacity
3. No more self-serve anything (especially the ice cream machines)
I agree as long as I can get my ice cream anytime. It is ok if a crew member serves. Got to have my ice cream.

1. Eliminate hairy chest contest
2. Eliminate crowded jewelry giveaways in fun shops
3. Eliminate liquor tasting, long line and over crowed for a thimble full of liquor.

You should add to the question a time period. Would I cruise with those without a vax, yes. It might be five years from now. If cruising were to resume within six months, the answer might be different for a short period of time.

Would you agree that with freedom comes responsibility? There are a number of ways to help mitigate the virus - e.g.vaccines, masks, social distancing, etc. It is everyone's responsibility to reduce the spread of the virus with a best effort, not disdain. It seems the conservatives say they will have no part of any of it. That won't get the job done, and sure seems like shirking responsibility. Freedom without responsibility is adolescence. Adults need to take responsibility.
To think politicians, any of them, don't listen to their sponsors at least as much as to their constituents is naive.
I am conservative and got vaccinated. Do not paint all conservatives with a broad brush or based on some of the individuals posting on this site. There are many on the other side of the aisle that are afraid of the shot. This site is not the real world. Someone earlier indicated that cruise critic was for cruise nuts. I think they really meant enthusiast. The more I read the comments, I am not sure.

On the gulf coast there is a shortage of individuals working in restaurants. Restaurants have signs up asking for patience from the customers. Tourist traffic is high and the wait lines to eat can be long. Best to dine during mid afternoon, not during prime time.
