  1. Do you have any other shows you would recommend? We are really looking forward to our first cruise next month. Do you feel like Gary was a good cruise director?

yeah Gary was great! Really enjoyed him and he was everywhere. I forgot the name of the Asst CD (also Bingo coordinator), he was awesome! Gary did great with Love and Marriage show. We didn't care about other playlist production shows. Seemed like same as previous cruises but since it is your first cruise, you will probably like it. The comedy club was okay but hopefully you have better comedians. Really enjoyed Digital Scavenger Hunt with BV. Do that if you get a chance. Enjoyed couple of Dance classes they had if you are in to that. You will enjoy the ship! We liked it.

  2. Just an FYI that was pretty mild from the one I saw:o. However, it was 5yrs ago and people say it has tamed down.

Oh ok! In my mind I was comparing to RCI one I saw. RCI one was pretty tame comparatively. Thanks for the info.

  3. Is Quest held on 4 night cruises? I will be on the Ecstasy.

We took 4 day cruise on Ecstasy recently and it was not on schedule. They added it last minute as an outdoor event could not be done due to weather. I am glad they did. Really enjoyed watching it. It was very raunchy. The CD Gary was young so that might be contributing factor.

  4. Hi

We have a cruise booked on early saver rate under my VIFP number. My wife is in the booking also and in cabin with me but her VIFP number is not added in the booking right now.

Her number now got some really good offer which brings the price down almost $250 though we lose some OBC. The offer says new bookings only though.

So my question is will Carnival give this new rate for her VIFP number once we add her number(the TA we used just did not do it) or is it really for new bookings only? I thought Early saver rate qualified for all price drops.

I cannot get a good answer from the TA and he is difficult to communicate with. Can I call Carnival directly and check?

    Thanks in advance!

  5. We recently took a Carnival Ecstasy cruise in End of May and the Quest game was awesome. Very raunchy and crowd got very creative and no inhibitions! It was not on schedule but they added last minute as weather was not good for a outdoor event that was planned. I am glad they did this. We had been part of one in RCI before but this was much more adult oriented. CD Gary did it and not to be missed if you get a chance.

  6. Hi uttu. There were two options, the dolphin encounter, which we did, and another one that was much more was a dolphin swim. The dolphins are in an enclosed area. They break you up in groups of 8. We were able to pet them and they did some tricks and sang, etc. The swim was right next to us in another enclosed area. Those dolphins looked like they just did more tricks and the people were able to hold their fins and spin around. We didn't see anyone actually riding or being pulled. To us it didn't look like it was worth the extra money. It was interesting, but with the transportation over to the island, and you had time to hang out on the beach, I thought it was worth it. Been to Nassau many times and wanted something different to do and with kids, so that helped too. If you do it, bring water shoes. Where you walk into the water is very rocky and my BF had to help several ladies walk back in. you stand in knee deep water.

Thank you for the information! I appreciate it. We have also been to Nassau couple times and looking for something new besides Atlantis stuff. This helps a lot.

  7. Used shoreexcursionsgroup.com last week for the Dolphin Encounter at Balmoral Island on Nassau stop for 4 people. Someone from the ship booked same excursion and said they paid $150 pp. I paid $77 with the coupon pp. that’s a huge difference. They got their wrist bands by the ship, we walked down to senior Frogs and they met us there and that is right where we boarded the tranport boat. Same excursion, half the price. I rarely book through the ship anymore unless they are only offering something we want. Even with tender ports.

    Hi

How was this experience? Was it worth it and do Dolphins come out in ocean or in an enclosed area? We are thinking of this one for our May cruise. TIA!

  8. Hi

We are a group of around 40 sailing in June on Princess to Alaska. We have two people having Birthday on the same day while on cruise.

Is there anything I can organize like a small party? Does Princess allow this and how much do they charge if any? I would appreciate any information. We have booked through a TA.

    TIA!
