  1. Saw a woman pushing a baby stroller miss the ship. There just happened to be a speed boat rental waiting for her. This was 20 years ago, it cost her several hundred dollars.:(

Had the same thing happen when someone I was cruising with had a tour bus break down in Vancouver causing her to be late. Almost made it the whole cruise without anyone knowing it was us. The water taxi was very expensive.

  2. Way to go - good for you!

I once found a mini-suite sized "normal" cabin on a Royal Caribbean ship, presumably released by a TA, late at night. Called up, no wait, CS couldn't even believe it was available. Aft facing cabin, balcony the size of a normal balcony cabin, etc. $20 more per day.

Took a while for the GF to get used to normal balcony cabins on Princess. That was her first cruise :loudcry:

  3. Pillows are as subjective as food tastes, I guess ;)

I have always found Princess pillows to way too poofy (technical term) and then they 'deflate' into nothing. GF says the same. She's a recent My Pillow convert and swears she'll take hers on our next cruise.

  4. I saw the carpet today as I walked by and the door was open. It looked new, and was even the same pattern as the carpet in my room. Not all the rooms have the same pattern.

A cabin steward said there was no damage to the room other than blood. No furniture or fixtures had to be replaced other than possibly the bunk ladder.

I would assume they'd have to take the ladder as evidence, assuming it was actually used in the commission of the crime.

  5. We've taken our mini steamer on every Princess cruise we've ever been on. It doesn't look like any steamer I see for sale today though - very rectangular in shape. Funny thing is, I think we've only used it once...maybe twice. We do the shower steam routine or just go wrinkled like most everybody else we see on board ;)
