  1. We've cruised all levels except suites and find them all acceptable. Our first 10 or so cruises were all inside and we've jumped back and forth based on pricing and itinerary since then. With the new BBB pricing we are seriously considering returning to all inside.

The most disconcerting thing about an inside is the inability to tell what time it is because of the total darkness. Keep something on your night table with lighted time and you should be fine. I would much rather cruise inside than not at all.

  2. In looking over the excursions on the celebrity website, there seems to be a very limited number of options. Does anyone know if they will continue to add to this list? Also, I am interested in doing the Bar Hop in Cozumel. Does Celebrity ever offer this as an excursion?

And one more question about Labadee... Why can't you book a cabana until you are on the ship?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

You will need to book the bar hop yourself. Just google couzemel bar hop and you'll find it. We did it a few years back and had a good time. We had to take a taxi into town to start but they dropped us off at the ship afterward.

  3. A couple of years ago, we did the Oct saling. It actually snowed in Quebec and we missed PEI as the harbor master felt that the sea condition were such that it was unsafe to try to enter. We had sun in Portland and Bar Harbour but it was definitely not warm. We were really glad we had packed quilted vests to wear over our fleece and that we had also brought hats and gloves.

Bottom line is there's no telling what the weather may be and lots of layering is your best option.

  4. If you are in the same cabin, you need do nothing. If moving, pack up (

You can leave stuff on hangers, and steward will move.

You may or may not have to leave the ship. Depends on local authorities. You will gave to leave the cabin for a time.

  5. We recently completed a TA crossing with an OV on deck 2 midship. We had no problems with waves obscuring our view. There was also very definitely less sensation of motion than on the higher decks. DH tends to get sea sick and tolerated this cabin very we'll.

  6. We were on Infinity in April/May and did notice the black ring in the toilet. The steward would scrub it away each morning but it always returned. We thought it must be something in the water and did not consider it a big deal.

  7. I'm probably overthinking this since we just got the e-mail about the change in time.

It's not a "medical" issue, but I do get weak and lightheaded if I don't eat regularly (and yeah, on a cruise you do seem to eat non-stop).

The shore excursion is to a (relatively) remote area (Baddeck/Bell Museum out of Sydney in Nova Scotia) so I don't think there's a stop for shopping, etc., where there would also be places to grab a bite but I might be wrong.

I think I remember seeing a snack bar at the Bell museum.

  8. Just got off Infinity where we encountered a new snag in the use of public areas. As we all know Micheal's is now off limits to most of us. On the cruise we just left, Constellation was mostly closed to all except a group of Park West big spenders. Okay, I can deal with that if I have to. The final insult though was when they decided to start reserving sections of Rondevouz lounge. When over half of the tables are reserved for some unknown groups that leaves precious little space for the rest of us to meet up with friends for a drink. Come on Celebrity what's up with this latest move?

  9. Don't hold your breath. We cruised in early Feb and finally today after numerous phone calls were able to get our status updated (points still not posted). Our status was updated only because our next cruise is in 2 weeks. If you don't have anything coming up soon it's anyone's guess when they will get around to updating your record.

  10. Orator and Bosox1's experience is the response I was given on today's call to Captain's Club. They said that my status will be changed within 72 hours and that is really all I care about. Will post again in a few days to let others know if the change really occurs. I did not like the fact that they would not send me an email confirming this change. I didn't think that was an unreasonable request given the run around I've gotten to this point.
