The only advantages the Crowdshine has are price and Casino.

:confused:We took our daughter on a cruise for her high school graduation in 2012, and last week she gets a letter offering her a free cruise. Ironic though....you must be 25 to book a cruise unless you are married. So she'll have to take me if she wants to go...LOL:D
You must be 21 to book a cruise, not 25.
You must have a person over 25 in your cabin if you are UNDER 21 (or sail with a parent).

Your 2nd leg of the cruise shouldn't have been allowed in the first place..... PVSA:confused:
The point is moot now, but San Juan is specifically excluded from the PVSA, hence a legal booking.
Saddening. :(First Boston, then Baltimore, now NYC?!?!?! Doesn't Carnival know that the Bos-Wash region is the most densely populated in the country [along with one of the richest!]?
and coldest (except Alaska, which is an entirely different type of cruising). Wealthy people aren't going to sail down the Atlantic coast in the dead of winter when they can hop a plane to warmer climes and be there in a couple of hours.

Sailing from Galveston - what's the best way to have drinks the first day and not pay through the nose? Any ideas? I'm assuming they don't adjust the Cheers program "backwards"?

However, if you buy the Cheers program while IN PORT you WILL pay the SALES TAX on it. If you wait until out of the USA waters then you won't.
No you don't. You only pay tax on individual drinks ordered.

Just some brief comments ... I'm still sorting everything out.
Our cruise was awesome - for us anyway! Loved the Mongolian Wok - well worth waiting in line - but day 1 and port days the lines are shorter.
Definitely go up to the Rotisserie area when eating from the buffet. We never had a problem getting a table - always many available - and you can sit by the windows.
Crew was fantastic - everyone went above and beyond (except for one minor situation that's not even worth detailing - there's one in every crowd  ).
Went to the El Mojito each night while waiting for the dining room to clear from early seating (We got the Gold Pearl as I'd hoped!). Bartenders, Gabriel and Rowena were great - always remembered our drinks! Rowena was leaving for vacation, but Gabriel was expecting a new partner.
Steak House (2 times) was fabulous!
Got a Cabana on HMC - best $229 I've spent in a long time!
Behind the Fun tour was really great and very informative.
Didn't make to the shows or the comedy club - which we did want to do. I kept getting up early (I'm too curious and if there was something going on - I had to see!) so I was tired by the end of the day.
Brunch was great! Food was excellent. Actually, overall, I thought the food was really good.
More later ...
So no helicopter ride?

Anyone know why the Legend and the Sunshine are still at the lower price and for how long this will be the case?
They are in Europe. I imagine the price will go up as soon as they hi the U.S. coast.

Apparently it is still original price on the Legend and Sunshine. Anyone know why?
They are in Europe.

Thanks everyone! And thanks to everyone who answered all my questions! If you have any I'll do my best to answer with first hand experience!
I'll be doing the internet package, so if I have time, I'll check in here. Got to go finish all my last minute tasks!
Have a great trip and stay off of helicopters. ;)

I wonder if that was more of a security thing, than being allowed to delay departure. Sometimes the harbor needs to be clear for security purposes.
You leave when the harbor master tells you to leave, not before, not after.

The only time they altered a leave I know of was the Miracle on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Think it almost took an act of Congress to stay and watch that.
True.

Not the cheapest place in the world though.
Gotta be cheaper then Grand Cayman. Maybe not, it has the same logistical issues.

All the bartenders knew exactly who the NA drinks were for...My kids were with me when I handed it to them at the bar. No questions were ever asked...ever. They would even split Crown royal and OJ for me in the evening so I could have a double CR and Coke while my daughter drank the OJ at the bar (because apparently Orange Juice by itself wasn't allowed)
That was the bartenders suggestion BTW when I asked for an OJ for my daughter and was told that technically fruit juice by itself wasn't part of Cheers...He said go get your wife's card and order two drinks....he brought me a double size glass of Coke and Crown Royal and an extra single shot of Crown Royal and a clean glass of OJ for my daughter and handed it to her. I poured the second shot of CR into my glass...Everyone gets what they want. Remember...bartenders idea, not mine!
No one ever questioned me once... I didn't think I was ever breaking any rules.
Like I said the only thing they stuck to was waiting 5 minutes and that I couldn't get fruit juice on it's own. Even at dinner they would bring soda for the kids and wine for my wife and I every night without a single concern (they brought the wine 5 minutes after the soda)...They never questioned us there either, not once...not ever.
When I purchased the program on the first day if I specifically asked that if I ordered NA drinks for my "kids" would they count towards the 15 limit...The answer was that only alcoholic drinks counted towards the 15 limit and that virgin drinks and sodas were unlimited... They didn't say you can't share with your kids.
It was never even implied...never...that I was breaking the rules.
Perhaps your bartenders being complicit in your rule breaking is one of the reasons the price has gone up.

It's the space between the last Spa cabin and non spa cabin.
Staff cabin.
-
OK all you Splendor experts......I have white space next to my cabin and balcony. Any chance my balcony will be bigger and extend into that white space?
Hard to say, without knowing the location. Some whitespace on the outside is staff cabins.
Group rates?
