  1. Hi there, I am a first time UK Seabourn cruiser, booked on Odyssey on 25 August 2012. Final payment is due by 29 June 2012.

It would be fantastic if anyone has a voucher I could use. Any questions please feel free to contact me at matthewmaneely (at) hotmail (dot) com

    Thanks!

    Matthew

Hello Matthew I just emailed you and would gladly send you out a coupon.;)

  2. My wife and I are in our mid 40's. We are experienced cruisers both with and without our kids. We are considering taking the Seabourn Quest from Barcelona to Rome on July 7th (without kids) but have read mixed info on the typical passenger age. We have travelled on SilverSea before and loved it. Can anyone tell tell me what to expect age wise of the fellow passengers on this cruise and a comparison to SilverSea?

    Thanks.

We are 45 and 43 and on the Legend Dec from Dubai to Singapore. There were many more people in the 60's to 70's range. I really think the itinerary has a bit of play with the age group as well more exotic = Older. Europe and Caribbean tend to be younger crowds and also on the larger sisters you also attract some younger people as well.

  3. I would definitely not wear denim in the dining room in the evening. You may be booking the wrong cruise line if you want to go casual.

NOT TRUE!...what a clothing snob remark!

We saw people in the Restaurant on resort casual nights in jeans withn a sports jacket.

  4. Hi' date=' we're sailing on Sojourn this April as first time cruisers on Seabourn and have only just heard about referral coupons.

We paid our final balance in December. Would we still be able to use one?

    [/quote']

Yes, it's not too late to send in a referral coupon once Final Payment has been made. You can send in your referral coupon up to 10 days prior to sailing.

  5. After having spent over 300+ days on Seabourn, many of them on the big ships, my opinion is to book the cheapest category available. As the "big ships" are actually relatively small, location is not really a factor and as Holland-American is zealously degrading and cheapening the product, going as cheaply as possible is the smart play, imo.

I agree. I always buy the "el cheapo" suite :D and on a GTY and spin the bottle to see if we get a lucky upgrade. IMO there is no bad cabin on any Seabourn ship.

  6. We have booked and paid in full for a cruise leaving April 6 on the Sojourn. We are first time traveller's on Seabourn and I only discovered this thread today. Is it too late to use a referral coupoun if I have already paid in full? If not, I would be grateful if someone would like to share one with me. My email is sananda at wisc dot edu

    Thanks for the help

It's not too late. You can mail in the coupon as long as it is received 10 days prior to sailing by Seabourn. I have emailed you if you want my coupon.:D

  7. Both self and partner love the chance to dress for dinner but a friend who would like to take our next sailing with us hates jackets.

He is quite happy to eat alone on some nights. The question is, on jacket nights what are his options? Will he have to hide in his cabin or is there a casual option he can use. We really want to encourage him to join us as he is such good fun, but the jackect for him is a no go.

He dresses quite well and is very smart, no jeans, wears a tie no problem!

    Option 1: In-Suite Diner

Option 2: Sky Grill if open as an alternative

    Option 3: Starve
