That’s what we were wondering as we went by, whether the hills were garbage fills. There is a place in Virginia Beach, VA, where the city did just that about 40 years ago. The piled lots of garbage, sealed it and covered it with soil to create a park. They had a contest to name it, with the citizens voting on the suggested names. The one that won the vote heavily was one the city fathers probably did not appreciate – Mount Trashmore, a pun on Mt. Rushmore. But, it still is named Mount Trashmore.

I am quite fond if Trashmore. When the winter blizzard would come by as a kids we would get to Trashmore and sled down the sides. Good times.

I saw that in the T and Cs - just wanted to find out if it could be changed. Apparently not. So the promo is really Explore3 for me.

I would love to change the reservation. There is four of us in the cabin, but I bet the reservation will be for two. Also one day on the cruise will be my anniversary. And my luck it will not fall on that date either.

According to a HAL I agent I just spoke with, the Pinnacle Grill is pre-assigned to you by HAL - both the date and time. And while you can try to get it changed onboard, it's not guaranteed. So if it end up being a formal night, and you don't do formal nights, you can't go. Not sure if I think much of this promotion.

It is in the T&C:

" Reservations and dining times will be assigned and a confirmation card for Specialty Restaurant dining will be placed in your stateroom upon embarkation day. Offer excludes Specialty Dining Events in the Pinnacle Grill such as Le Cirque, de Librije, Master Chef’s Table and Sommelier Dinner."

I posted in another thread but here it is.

I had booked the Canada/NE on the Maasdam for 2014 within two days of the schedule being posted. Booking a SB cabin for four. Today I sent an email to my TA about the E4 promo. The TA sent me a reply within 30 minutes. I was able to get the E4 promo with the bev package. On top I got the fare reduced by $700 for the 3rd and 4th passengers. Also I was able to keep the OBC based on the FCC.

The drink package for me sounds nice on principle. But the restrictions just blow it out of the water. What I like to drink is not permitted within the limited price range. I am still smoldering due to the lack of good bourbon. So I will continue how I pay for things.

For each cruise I have been on, I just sign up on the first day for the entire cruise. There as not been a time where it was "sold out." I have no evidence of such, but I have seen in the past that the cost was lower on the ship than paying in advance.

SailorJack, If I am ever on the same cruise as you, I will pay your beer tab. Reading this was bloody hilarious.
