I have no doubt it was a crew member as it was only found this morning, I’m guessing a big clean up after the crazy winds last night I’m thinking a lot of stuff was out of place so must have been during putting everything back etc 👍🏼

Its been 48hrs since we lost the phone and had just about give  up hope of finding it and to be honest had put a big downer on the second cruise... now obviously it’s not the phone itself as that can be replaced and in all honesty we we’re going to upgrade it this year anyway, it’s the content that can’t be replaced and mainly the photos we’ve taken recently of our 2 pups etc, especially as one is getting on in life so lose them would be heartbreaking. 

However, as I said it’s a good day... just went back to the cabin to pick up the sunscreen I forgot to bring with us to the sun deck and there was a message saying they had found our phone          🥳  🎉  🍾 

A very happy couple of cruisers 😎 

I think for today & tomorrow we plan to stay onboard and try to relax, enjoy & get some more sun before we head back to Montreal on Monday as “winter is coming” 😂 at this stage of the year we have to make the most of the warm days we have as it could be May before we get more… Anyway we’ve both been to Palma a few times and although we love it here and it’s definitely one of our favourites we just want to make the most of this ship while we have the opportunity 😎

So the windy day just got windier & then even windier... currently on deck 16 on my own as I just fancied a little hot tub session and I must say it’s kinda cool being right at the front of the ship on the top deck in such conditions 💨💨💨 unfortunately Julie suffering a little with the motion as are most of guest relations 😱😂 I guess for most of the crew this is most likely the worse day they’ve had in some time, the waters around Greece are pretty good generally and this section can be bad... the captain said it should get better later this evening and the next 2/3 days look nice & calm so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Sorry to be pedantic.

But the 2 countries you saw going through the Straits of Messina were Sicily and Southern Italy,,,not Spain

I guess if we are being completely correct you should have said the island of Sicily & southern Italy as both are in Italy! But let’s not split hairs over something that was obviously an honest mistake, I’m hopeful most new what I meant at the time 😂

Of course they were, not quite sure where I got Spain from I must have had a foggy brain to match the weather... 😜 I guess it was on my mind we were heading to Spain after Sicily 🤷🏼‍♂️

Helpful hint for the future: Create a sticker With your name and Cabin Number and place it on the rear of your phone, laptop, Ipad, E-reader, Water Bottle. A luggage tag with same info if you have a gym bag or tote that you carry around on the ship.

Yes spoke to guess relations a few times and nothing so far, a report has been made and I believe that triggers the next stage of looking at cameras etc 🤞🏻

Last nights Dinner 

To be honest we wasn’t overly impressed with the luminae menu last night and after a bad day (lost one of our phones on the ship) we just didn’t fancy making to much of an effort so just went to the main dining room and have a nice quiet meal there. 

Also, and maybe it’s a reflection of our bad luck on this current cruise but the times we’ve been in luminae we’ve been given tables that just seem odd considering how quiet it was... plus one time there was an overly loud couple next to us, another time most of our meal there was someone FaceTiming someone (loudly)! 

As I said maybe things are seeming bigger issues than they really are but when things are going wrong everything seems to be going wrong! 

However we really are people that do try yo see the good things and make the best of everything so fingers crossed it starts with a reduction in the wind anytime soon 😂 we did both have small wins in the casino last night so that’s good 👍🏼 Not enough for a new iPhone but maybe a new case 😜 it’s a start right 😂

Hello from a windy retreat deck! 

Well, as you all know by now yesterday was a bit of a washout of a day, cloudy, foggy, cool & rainy... the sail into Messina was nice (early) but nice all the same. Was kind of cool sailing through the straight between Sicily & southern Spain as both sides woke up and could see more & more lights and activity the closer to Messina we got. 

The sail out was was a little different as we couldn’t see anything once we got out the actual port area as it was so foggy/misty! 

We were here so lucky the first  cruise regarding weather and really enjoyed everything, seems since we did the suite upgrade things are taking a turn for the worse... still, despite our issues we are trying to enjoy these last 3 days of our cruise and even though it’s a really windy & bumpy day on the seas we’ve got a good spot in the sun in a kind of wind sheltered area of deck 16! Plus we might be the crazy ones but we’ve got the whole section to ourselves which is nice 😊

The Casino bar on the Edge is now the Craft Social Bar on Apex with an expanded beer menu and even cocktails on tap.  The theater got a major upgrade with state of the art background screens. 

Our last cruise in January of 2020 was on the Edge and we booked a comparable week for next January in the same IV cabin.  We recently made it a B2B by swapping out our 5 day on the NCL Joy for an extra 5 on the Apex.

The new theatre is pretty amazing, it’s really nice what they can do with the different panels and designs 😊

You sure can, I believe the only thing you can’t do it upgrade to the drinks & more package but classic to premium no problem.

Pretty much the stuff already mentioned, the wife loves all the European old stuff so all the cathedrals/churches and all the old buildings, I’m more into the mafia stuff so would love to do the walks around the godfather set areas,

Plus we are partial to a gelato or nice fresh Italian cannoli 😋 

It just seems a very interesting city to us, we plan to do a few longer European road trips once julie retires fully 😊

We upgraded on the ship and you get the perks you had already vs booking a suite outright 

So regarding the internet package I decided to use my E/P mins first this time to see how that was and how long they’d last me... they did well but didn’t last long at all 😂 so I decided to wait for the mid cruise offer to upgrade and did this this morning, hence the overload of picture posts... 😜

just for reference it costs $84.00 for the remainder of the cruise which obviously is outrageous but I can’t live without it...😂  

On a separate note... we we’re discussing last night that we are sure there are things we might not be aware of that we might be missing out on as this is our first suite experience? If anyone has any tips or suggestions please let us know 👍🏼😊 

Breakfast this morning round 2... 

We decided to try and make the most of this suite experience as it’s been cut short somewhat so we headed up to the retreat deck and got a couple of small snacks from the lounge to calm the hunger pains before having breakfast a little later, below is the waffle breakfast we both had and it was delicious 😋 lashings of maple syrup to remind us of home ☺️ 

Im thinking same thing tomorrow 😂 

Our home for the next 4 days 😎 

Actually today its currently raining but we’re not going anywhere 😂
