Does the Majesty have a diamond lounge with the usual drinks???
They don't have a dedicated lounge. They use the Viking Crowne Lounge. IMHO it is a yawner. We were there once, total of 5 people there. We went to the Schooner Bar and used our vouchers there instead. The Schooner Bar is a lot more lively.

yes they were and were leading up to for about a month or so I believe.
Hot tubs have been closed since October 30th. I guess is they aren't going to do anything with them until refurb.

On the Oasis last week. Izumi hibachi has 2 prices. $30 if you wanted chicken etc. $35 if you wanted the lobster. Their menu shows what is included for each price and you made your decision based on that. Obviously if you want lobster it's going to cost more than chicken. Plus they let you mix and match. I had steak and lobster and the cost was $35.

when last month were you on the ship? What was the reason for the pool being shut down at the same time?
We were on the 10/30 and 11/23 sailings. The first time we got the Legionnaires email after we sailed in October. The second time I think they said it was problems with the pumps or piping something like that. However, when they shut the pool down, they seemed to be able to fix that problem within 6 hours. Never could get a straight answer on the hot tubs.

The current Viking Crown lounge for D, D+ etc is a real yawner. You are better off going to the Schooner Bar and using your vouchers. There were a total of 5 people there on the first night we went and that included us. It was so boring we never went back. Got our drinks at the Schooner Bar instead.

Since you are going after the refurb you should be fine. I would not suggest the Majesty to anyone prior to that. We were on the Majesty in both October and November and none of the problems have been fixed. Hot tubs still closed down, and one pool was shut down on the November cruise as well. The public restrooms especially near the pool area are gross. The stateroom was actually in decent shape. We love the Majesty but these last couple of times were not so good.

We traveled on this ship Nov.6-9 2015. Just today we received this email you are all talking about.
I specifically asked customer service why the hot tubs were closed. " His reply was. They are working on them, they do not have the proper flow rate, they will be repaired by days end."
This was a well rehearsed bull faced lie!!!!!! Never again they get my money or referrals. I have not felt real good since this trip, now getting this email almost a week later, wonder if indeed I do have Legionnaires disease.
It makes me wonder if the employees know what is actually going on. Maybe that is what they are told, it's hard to know for sure.

You typically won't find many people dressed up on a 3-4 night Carnival cruise. If you decide to wear it, I would suggest leaving the velvet jacket at home and bring a pashima scarf along. It's your cruise and wear what makes you and your children happy.

I was on the 10/31 cruise and received the email on 11/13. The hot tubs were open the first day but closed the last two. I will be on the Majesty again on 11/23 and have full intentions of sailing on her. I feel if there is still an issue the hot tubs would be closed. After reading how you can contract the disease I feel safe going on the Majesty and will take my own precautions.

The beach was 100% eroded when I was there the end of september. But the road is still there, the bar is still there, and there is plenty of places to stand as the planes come in. Just more dangerous as it truly is a little baby rock cliff now, not a beach.
I do have to say... This was my first time there.. and it was pretty cool.
and I had a great bloody mary at the bar
With the beach being eroded do they still have loungers there to relax on?

From my perspective, I wouldn't won't 3 kids next to me while the parents are across the hall. Even though they may be good kids, the temptation to be noisy is a good possibility. I think parents should have connecting rooms with their kids.

Where are you on Saturday night? Enchantment will be in Nassau
Halloween cruise Saturday is Coco Cay
Thanksgiving cruise is M-Thurs, off the ship on Friday.

We also love the Majesty. We will be there over Halloween and Thanksgiving as well. Can't beat the prices, and the staff has always been great.

I have used the Jergen's and works well, just remember to exfoliate and be sure your hands are wiped off afterwards. I have used other brands but they don't work as well as the Jergen's brand.

When our kids were this small we had to bring our carseats from home.Checked them on the plane etc... PIA but had to do it...Dont risk it not putting your child in car seat at that age.. Ive been a firefighter/paramedic fir many years and seen many children ejected from cars for the want of a car seat... Just check it and bring it.
I agree with you, don't chance it. Those taxi drivers are crazy. The airline will check it for free as well. When we got off the plane we grabbed a luggage carrier for $5 loaded everything onto it and headed outside. When you get to the port the porter will take care of it as well so you won't need to handle it.

After you register and pay for the party they give you a secret passcode and pin in your stateroom to enter, that is the hush hush part.

I respect true service animals and what they provide. This is what we encountered. We were boarding a plane with my parents who are 79 and both use a cane. They made them wait to board because a couple carrying a poodle had priority boarding because it was a service animal. I am trying to figure out what the poodle provided that the spouse couldn't in this instance.
We were on a cruise where a service animal was in the dining room. Very well behaved and never moved while the owner ate. I just hope people don't use the service animal excuse to travel with them, and let the people that need them use them.

I have used Sixt several times. They are close to the port and have a free shuttle as well. Plus their prices are very good.

We had the drink package on our last cruise. DH gave the bar server in the MDR a nice tip on the first night, and whenever we needed a drink we had it within minutes.

Received a total of 6 wristbands for a cabana at Barefoot Beach with no problems.

We always loved the smaller ships. But we too are opting for the larger ships for that exact same reason. When the weather is bad it's nice to have a promenade to go to.
