  1. I have a question regarding My Time Dining...Can traditional seating be changed to my time dining once on board? I booked the cruise and chose traditional dining, but I think I may want to change it to my time dining once I'm on board. Is that possible?

    Thanks!
  2. The weather in NYC will be cold (I live there), and it will remain cold until later in the afternoon of the 2nd day. By then, you will be off the cost of North/South Carolina. Once you reach that point, the weather is (generally) in the 60's. Weather will remain in the 60's & 70's until you get south of Florida. Once you get south of Florida and into Caribbean, you'll most likely encounter weather in the mid 70's. Water temperature in the Caribbean will be in the low-mid 70's.

  3. Hello,

I'll be in Nassau in early February and I was looking for tips on how to spend the day. This will be my 3rd time there, and I've done Atlantis twice already so I was looking for something a little different. Can anyone offer suggestions? I was hoping to do a day pass at a resort, but we don't get to Nassau until noon, so I doubt I'd have time for that. All suggestions are welcome!

    Thanks

  4. 1. The Main Dining Room is restaurant style. You order from the menu, and then wait for your food. I was on the Mariner a few years ago, and dinners took about 1 1/2 hours. If you want a more casual option, the buffet is available, as is Johnny Rockets, room service, and a few other places.

    2. I think there is a kids pool that your 18 month old should be able to use, but you should call the cruise line ahead of time to ask. There may be restrictions regarding diapers in the water. I don't think they'd permit a blowup pool, and I don't think you'd really have a way to fill it anyway.

  5. Hi all,

I'm cruising on the Explorer in February, and I want to do a beach day while in Nassau. Can anyone suggest a beach with amenities? (Restaurant, bar, showers, etc) I don't mind paying a guest fee at a hotel if necessary.

    Thanks!

  6. I think the best way to save money (for me at least) is to not book an excursion through the cruise line. Instead, I buy a travel book for each place we are going to. They help me plan out my time there, and they also serve as a memento for each place I've been to. Also, I don't go crazy in the casino. Maybe $20 a day. We'll usually go to one specialty restaurant per cruise. Neither one of us are big drinkers, so we usually have 2 drinks each per day. (I always laugh at the people who get extremely drunk every day...Don't you want to remember your vacation at all???) For 2 of us, we usually get away with around $500 total on our ship board account for a 7 day cruise.
