The weather in NYC will be cold (I live there), and it will remain cold until later in the afternoon of the 2nd day. By then, you will be off the cost of North/South Carolina. Once you reach that point, the weather is (generally) in the 60's. Weather will remain in the 60's & 70's until you get south of Florida. Once you get south of Florida and into Caribbean, you'll most likely encounter weather in the mid 70's. Water temperature in the Caribbean will be in the low-mid 70's.

Hello,
I'll be in Nassau in early February and I was looking for tips on how to spend the day. This will be my 3rd time there, and I've done Atlantis twice already so I was looking for something a little different. Can anyone offer suggestions? I was hoping to do a day pass at a resort, but we don't get to Nassau until noon, so I doubt I'd have time for that. All suggestions are welcome!
Thanks

1. The Main Dining Room is restaurant style. You order from the menu, and then wait for your food. I was on the Mariner a few years ago, and dinners took about 1 1/2 hours. If you want a more casual option, the buffet is available, as is Johnny Rockets, room service, and a few other places.
2. I think there is a kids pool that your 18 month old should be able to use, but you should call the cruise line ahead of time to ask. There may be restrictions regarding diapers in the water. I don't think they'd permit a blowup pool, and I don't think you'd really have a way to fill it anyway.

Yes, we must have been reading the same thing. It sounded like they were approached with the deal on board.

I've read a few reviews and an all access pass for the specialty restaurants has been mentioned a few times. From what I've read, you pay $100, and you're able to eat in a specialty restaurant every day of your cruise. Has anyone heard of this? Have you done it?

Hi all,
I'm cruising on the Explorer in February, and I want to do a beach day while in Nassau. Can anyone suggest a beach with amenities? (Restaurant, bar, showers, etc) I don't mind paying a guest fee at a hotel if necessary.
Thanks!

I don't think they pro-rate the alcohol or soda package. I asked the last time I sailed RCCL about pro-rating the soda package, and I was told I had to get it for the whole cruise.

Yes, very good advice. I check prices constantly, even after I've booked. In my case though, since I usually book last minute, prices have only gone up afterwards, never down. However, it always makes me feel good about the price that I paid!

Officially on vacation 2 weeks from today...embarking in 15 days!
This is the longest time I've ever had between cruises, so I feel like this one is taking forever to get here!

20 days until the cruise.
19 days until we leave.
15 days left of work!

I think the best way to save money (for me at least) is to not book an excursion through the cruise line. Instead, I buy a travel book for each place we are going to. They help me plan out my time there, and they also serve as a memento for each place I've been to. Also, I don't go crazy in the casino. Maybe $20 a day. We'll usually go to one specialty restaurant per cruise. Neither one of us are big drinkers, so we usually have 2 drinks each per day. (I always laugh at the people who get extremely drunk every day...Don't you want to remember your vacation at all???) For 2 of us, we usually get away with around $500 total on our ship board account for a 7 day cruise.
