Princess new 2022 Drink Menus
Porky55 replied to Ozwoody's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Over my time cruising I have noticed that the rules seem to be set by the actual ship, not so much the cruise line. So, if the Captain and Senior Staff on a particular ship have a certain standard they want to see, it will then happen. Explains the difference between ships from the same line. Just because Diamond allowed this type of βinformalityβ on formal (or any night) thereβs no saying Coral will too? Fingers crossed for a formal standard that is across the board π€ -

If we continue to dress with class on formal nights, and encourage our younger companions to enjoy doing the same - the tradition should continue ππΊ -

I used to do this too, until one time I was in trouble for how I packed something π So now - I organise piles beside his suitcase of all the things I think he might want and DH now packs his own case - with precision I might add and no more complaints π -

We try hard not to need to go anywhere to eat on embarkation, just wander the ship, compare this ship to that ship, generally fill in time until cabin is ready. It really is a chaotic time to eat during boarding - very few manners or courteousy in evidence π³ -
Read an article today from Cruise Weekly that said all Coral Princess cruises departing from Australia will be sailing at full capacity. I thought the first cruises in June were to be at reduced - even just 50%, capacity? Does anyone know the actual answer to this as I can find no reference about it on the Princess Australia Protocols? Or add it to Cbtours βto find outβ list?

We spent a week a few years ago self driving the Scottish Highlands and stayed at a B&B in Kingussie. One night the hosts made me a hot chocolate - it was pure chocolate (no powder) melted over the stove with cream then added to thin it to drinking consistency. It was the most amazing hot chocolate I have ever had ππ -

Iβm not sure that this is right π€ Complimentary usually means free?? If you are travelling with kids, this can be quite important to the overall budget, I would imagine. Cbtours has a list of things to check for lots of us, she is on the 16th departure, perhaps we can ask her to check? -
Very rare to get a cyclone up here after April, tho it has happened. From April to late Oct/Nov is the best time to cruise up this way. The humidity virtually disappears, nights usually lowest 12deg, days ranging from 24 to 28 - beautiful one day, perfect the next. We only have two seasons in Nth Qld - 6 mths of β bloody humidity & heatβ - 6 mths of βjust perfectβ. Jump aboard, grab some seasick meds for hubby, (start him before he boards) and enjoy your cruise π

I thought hot chocolate, like brewed coffee, is complimentary on Princess, anywhere you can buy coffee you can order a hot chocolate - free π From Princess: βSip your favorite espresso-based beverage or tea with the pre-purchase of a specified number of specialty coffees (numbers vary by itinerary) during the voyage of purchase, as well as complimentary brewed coffee and hot chocolate.β (this should apply to your kids too) Avoid that brewed coffee at all costs though π
