We usually spend around $1000 on stuff (pics, gaming, excursions, tips, drinks, etc) for a 7 day cruise. That being said, it really depends on your activities. There is no wrong answer, just what you are comfortable with.

Is 5000 points the threshold? And if so, is it cumulative?

My husband and I will be cruising in July on the Vista, leaving out of Barcelona. We will be arriving a couple of days early to enjoy the sites in Barcelona as its our first time there. Previously, on the recommendation of a cruise critic experience, we had a car meet us at airport in Rome and drive us to hotel... it was painless. I read about the taxi and wondered if that would be a better option... any recommendations?

My DH and I shall be on the Sunshine in January. We just installed the application and look forward to comments from others who have used it! Just having the countdown clock on our phone is exciting!

I have a separate question about the cheers program... we will soon be on an 8 day cruise on the Sunshine. My DH and I have been thinking about purchasing the package... however, my questions is this... our autistic daughter who is 33 will be cruising with us... this is a celebration cruise to mark her completion of chemo and 100 day past a bone marrow transplant... obviously she will not be drinking. Will Carnival waive that we must purchase three packages? Any thoughts? thanks much.

Grand Turk will be a new port for us. I think we would love to just enjoy the sun and water with the cabana option... can someone please tell me costs and where do we actually reserve it? Thanks in advance.
