  1. ... ...

We're doing something in 2015 that I said we'd never do, a cruise without a balcony. I'm already feeling claustrophobic about it.

We're doing the New England out of Baltimore in mid Oct. My reasoning is that we really won't use the balcony much, too cool.

I am definitely keeping my eye on the rates. If the balconies get anywhere near what we're paying for the inside, I'm on it.

    Me too here.

For our Canada/New England in Sep/Oct 2015, we will be in an oceanview. First cruise without a balcony, too cold!

But still keeping our finger crossed for the upgrade fairies.... ... :)

  2. Just hand over your luggages to the porter (and don't forget to tip). It will be delivered to your cabin, but may take some time, 4pm, 8pm, or even later.

Bring along the things you need right away in your carry on. Example your bathing suit, if you want to use the pool upon boarding. Or some medicines that you have to take.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  3. We did sort of b2b, 2 different lines, 2 different ships, 2 different itineraries.

Our 7 days Western Caribbean cruise on the Allure ends on April 27 in Fort Lauderdale. We then meet our limo (pre-booked) and go straight to the Port of Miami. On the same day there we board the Epic for a 14 days Trans-Atlantic to Barcelona.

    One thing to remember :

After collecting your luggages from the first cruise, take off all disembarkation tags from it, and put on the luggage tags of the second cruise. Oh, that's a great moment! A cruise just ends, another cruise to start!

I think the excitement is more with 2 different ships. B2b on the same ship is just like an extension of the same cruise as you already knows the ship. With 2 different ships you have everything new to explore!

    Enjoy your cruise(s) !

  4. Sorry but this is incorrect...RCI has what they call "Tea Time" in the WJ on all ships from 3:30-5:00pm daily...Great selection of food/snacks with my favorite being scones and bread pudding.

    Thank you for your correction.

    Sorry my mistake.

  5. Planning and getting excited about the cruise before it actually start is half the fun.

The cruise itself is 100% fun! Every moment of it!

Writing reviews after the cruise, distributing souvenirs, browsing photos, reading other's reviews, and doing Cruise Critic keeps me on the high. And preparing for the next cruise... ... ....

Cruise is a never ending fun for me! :D

  6. Congrats on your 'pre-honeymoon'.

    1. You may come to the cruise terminal around 10-ish. Boarding generally starts around 11 so you can enjoy your first lunch onboard.

    2. Since you have prepaid your tip, any additional tips are at your discretion. I guess you will be ok with 100 in cash. You may want to bring more, of course.

As a guidance, your room steward $10 or 20. Your MDR wait staff the same. And $2 to $5 for room service each. Add $5 to $10 for the guide if you are taking any shore excursion.

    3. You can leave the ship shortly after reaching final port, and drive home. No need to book any hotel unless you want to.

I never sail with Carnival so you'd get better answers for your other questions at the Carnival forum.

    Enjoy your cruise!
