Hello Joe - looking fwd to all the information this thread will bring. Also what new and exciting difference Mr Branson will bring to the cruising industry....

I'm sorry...but what's the itinerary for this cruise? I know the Encore will be doing only one stop on its way to Miami. trying to decide if i should book the Encore.

Safe travels. when you're on the ship and you're posting pics of drinks, can you please post the names. I'm always fascinated by the drinks people post online, but I'm a virgin when it comes to the names. Thank you.

I leave on her in 5 more days. Very excited. I'm platinum, but I'm bringing 3 first timers with me, so i am hoping they will enjoy themselves. we don't smoke or gamble but if most thing are centralized on deck 5, I am hoping the smoke won't bother us too much.

I have to say my guilty pleasure on the ship was always the desserts. I have a sweet tooth for desserts. No candies for me. So the first thing I started doing was to eliminate sugar "almost" completely from my diet. Now and again I use Stevia.
I'm hoping that will help with my desire to not crave dessert.

Another vote for the package also.

Hi guys!!!! I'm new to this forum. My goal this year is to try as much as possible to get back down to my weight of 170. Currently at 206. So I have a ways to go. I use to do a lot of walking but now I am mostly babysitting my niece since my sister is having some difficulty.
I bought a cheap tracking device to track my steps and make sure I do the minimum of 10,000 per day. Also join a walking challenge at work that should help me. The food is where my challenge is. Seems once you hit 40 the weight is no longer easy to come off. I don't like gyms. I'll join with good intentions, but after a month I lost all motivation. I love to walk though. So i'll just have to do a lot more of that and watch what I eat.
After my cruise in this January the next one won't be until September so I have some time to reach as close as possible to my goal.
Looking forward to the support from this group. Lets keep every one motivated and accountable....Thx guys

17 days to the Sunshine

So, help me here...
If I want to go to the casino at Atlantis and do some shopping, I can just take a $4 shuttle there and do those things without a day pass or any other arrangements?
Thanks,
Kathy
Yes! You don't need a pass to go to the casino or access any shopping you wish to do.

39 days till the Sun shines :D

It's very easy to get caught up in those non-suspect toll roads in Miami if one is not paying keen attention. I now make sure I have 'avoid toll roads' as an option on my GPS
Also, I thought the sunpass minis were non transferable. They are like stickers so once you try to peel them off your windshield they get damage.

In all 10 yrs of cruising I've never had anything stolen. I use the safe for my important documents and money. I leave my iPad and camera out all the time and they were never stolen. I've sailed on various lines.
This is unfortunate for you.

Does anyone have menus for Ji Ji's or Cucina del Capitano?
If you go to Manage....My booking....under "My cruise Manager" you can find the menus under Specialty dining. The Chef Tables and Steakhouse menu is there also.

Go Gators!!!!! Tagging along for the adventures. I'll say a silent prayer for everyone that no one gets toss overboard with 6 kids all under 17 ;p

Thanks for the tour review.
There is a Scotchies on the highway, near to Falmouth enroute to Montego Bay. We passed it very recently. Perhaps it is a new brach? Thought I would mention it.
Scotchies in Montego Bay has been there for quite awhile now. We use to go there often when we visit Jamaica for their annual Jazz Fest.

Im thinking the reason why just the cabin # in both of these cases is because everyone is Platinum and higher.

:confused:Hmmmmm, that's odd. Not sure how accurate this is. I will be sailing on the Sunshine next September. I'm platinum, but my friend will be a first time cruiser. So she can now attend the shingding with me?
So where does that leave the gold status people? Seem unfair to me.....if this is true.

Antigua is business as usual. They did not suffer any major damage with the hurricane. Just some minor flooding. It was their sister island Barbuda that was devastated.
I was there last month on Celebrity and had a great time. We had supply's for the island on our ship that the crew was unloading while we were getting off.

Exciting to read your review. I am waiting to read what the Kids think of their first cruise overall. Will they get any writing done while enjoying their time at sea? Maybe not.
You're off to a great start.

Luv, luv, luv your pictures. Time may have stood still, but the architecture work is absolutely stunning.
I wonder what's the story behind the statue of the woman on the chicken.

Dr E muster drill was hilarious for us. It was then I start to pay attention to CD's. Had Mike Pack after that and like him also. But Dr E is #1 for us.
I wish they would give him new ship to roll out.
