Are you saying we have to pay for all the food on HC. Do they not have the free barbecue lunch like GSC? If that's true, then I'm a bit disappointed. Is this because you docked there instead of tender?

Was on the Magic last August. It was inside the dining room for me. I don't remember it taking an hour, but if it did it was because the CD Dr E was hilarious doing it. He did it in a few different accents which I found funny.

Yes, please tell us the good and bad from your personal experience. I sailed it when it was the Destiny. Currently trying to decide on an itinerary for this very ship, since I'm only an hour from port. I always luv reading your reviews.

We were on the Magic last August and they did this. That was my first time seeing it done. It really makes no sense to me. I did not notice any obscenity...of course I didn't really look. I just wrote something on my balloon and left. It was nice seeing the balloons fall later in the evening but I didn't go rushing to catch any.

After the drop my sister and I both looked at each other and ask "that's it?" We were expecting something more after the drop.

I think they come out March/April. Royal always takes awhile to release their extended itinerary. I'm also waiting for their 2018 schedule.

Happy to see the Breeze coming to PC. Sad to see the Magic and Dr E leaving. Love them both. Have to try and squeeze in another cruise on it b4 it leaves.

I agree with the other posters. You've been upgraded. I've been to Freeport twice and would never go back. It's industrial. You're not missing anything. Although I've never been to Princess Cay it's a place I've always wanted to go due to the gorgeous pics I've seen. Since this is your 1st cruise keep in mind this is a relaxing beach day for you, and to explore the area as much as you want. The barbecue lunch they serve is free.

That's a good surprise. You will get some great views when docking.

WooHoo just booked the last scenic OV today for my August cruise. Rm 9196. Honestly I was torn between this and the balcony which was only $200 more. Because I've experienced balconies b4 I decided to go with this. It's going to be a surprise for the family all they know is that it's an OV. Me, sister & 2 kids.

Check Holland American or Royal.

This is definitely a step in the right direction. It should be 15 mins though. Half an hour is way too generous. These late comers must learn to respect people and their time.

I'm kinda late for the party and just start reading your review. Just want to chime in and say that I will be doing this exact itinerary a year from now. My first time visiting the ABC islands, so definitely looking fwd to your review. So far it's hilarious. Love your writing. Have a great time.

Well I guess the complimentary bottle I get in my room I can just fill it up at Lido every time I need water or use my cup. I won't be paying $4.50 for water.

Even better: the satisfaction of driving by your office on your way out of town while everyone else works away.

Following along. I wanted to do this cruise but had no one to go with me. Story of my life. So instead I'll live it vicariously thru you.

I've sailed out of Tampa a few times. Luv the port. Only a little over an hour drive from home. I've never sailed on the Paradise though. I have read too many negative reviews about the state of the ship. I will be glad when the Miracle returns there in 2018. Only then will I cruise out of there again on a Carnival cruise.

I use to live in CT, and move to FL 15 yrs ago. Best move I ever made. I was tired of the winters there. I'm an islander. Same one you have in your name. It wasn't for the ports becuz I didn't start cruising yet. I live in central FL now and was blessed to start with the same salary I left CT with. Having so many ports to chose is an added bonus. Pt Canaveral (my fav)is only an hour away. Pt Everglades & Miami is only 3-3.5 hrs drive. The headache is which cruise, which port, which itineraries. Oh the hard choices :D
