We have only sailed on the Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam and have always rented a Lido cabana for the week. I am disappointed to hear the complaints about the cabana stewards as ours have always been wonderful! They were very attentive, prompt, and always on hand. If we were going to get lunch from he Lido they always offered to get it for us. One steward brought us daily servings of his native cuisine to try.

We enjoyed talking with them and learning their stories. Sailing again in 10 days and will enjoy another cabana. There won't be much chance of anyone else using it because I will always be in it..reading and being waited on by the stewards!

We have only sailed with HAL (and doubt we'll change since my husband likes HAL so much!). We booked the first one on line and the 5 or six with a PCC. We changed once because the first one was promoted. Both ladies have been fantastic and we feel like we have gotten good deals, good prices, good information, and fantastic service. A couple of our trips were with large groups and they were handled seamlessly with many changes on our part. Can't say enough good things about our PCCs!

Just want to say that we have had exceptional service from Holland America and especially our Holland America cruise consultant. Without going into details, I will just say we had an emergency issue two days before departure and our cruise consultant helped us out tremendously and resolved everything. This is our fourth cruise booked through Holland America (second one with large groups) and we have always had outstanding service from our Holland America representatives but this was truly over the top.

Unlike cruz chic and maxxboy, we love the lido cabanas...we like being close to the pool, the grill, and the lido. Once you decide between the lido cabanas and retreat cabanas book early...they often sell out!
