I would just relax on the beach and have a coco-loco (or two ;)). Snorkeling is in my DD's plans for our Coco Cay day.

 

I was wondering if they are doing the post cruise excursions in FL tomorrow?

My DD and I have a later flight in two weeks and when I tried to book last night I received an error that the excursions could not be booked. If they don't I am going to need to rent a car (which I am doing when we land).

OK, Please tell, what is a COCO-LOCO??

We have a post excursion booked for our trip - I believe I read somewhere the site was not working correctly and not able to book anything..

Sorry, posted wrong as I was looking at 4 day.. it is POMODORA, SAFFRON AND PIMIENTO-- It tells you on the Compass under Gourmet Specialties..

That's the tricky part. I've been trying to find the four-night sequence for our Sept. 9 cruise for weeks. :cool:

Someone had posted that before I will see if I can find it.. But basically, it tells you on the compass under Gourmet Specialties.. Day 1 says pork chops with mojo- so I am thinking that is mojo, day 2 is saffron, day 3 pimiento, day 4 i don't know ,,,

Any chance you can post the menus? I know I am asking a lot. Have a family with food allergies and trying to plan out the meals.

This has been great so far, what did you think of the Honey Stung chicken, it's been discussed a bit lately, it's a tradition for us, still worth it? Also, have you been in the solarium, if you have did you notice if they open the roof at all? Happy Cruising.

I've ordered breakfast room service, it should be delivered here shortly. You can order real scrambled eggs or boxed eggs. Know I saw a thread on here recently on the subject of eggs. The more I think of it I think it was on the Carnival board. Oh well. :-)

Thanks for posting.. If can, check out the PARK cafe for us and send pic of menu items. Not sure if they change daily - What kind of food was at the Sail Away party? Glad to read reference to the Silent Party.. I saw that on the the Compass but no clue what it was or if it was worth checking out.. Thanks again for posting

So I got the soda package and the cup. The Freestyle Coke machine is pretty cool. A guy tried putting a regular cup up to it but learned pretty quickly our handy dandy little cups have a chip in them.

 

Had a nice lunch in the Windjammer. Had the mandatory first cruise day honey stung chicken, mash potatoes and some green beans.,

Hello! Glad I found this.. Excited to read your report so far. Awesome! I am glad you mentioned the freestyle machines had I had read some negative feedback on how they keep breaking. Does it seem like they are always crowded and a do you have to wait in line to get your drink?

Does anyone have the updated menus for Enchantment 4 day out of PC? We are trying to determine which day to book Chops while figuring out menus and also port days/times. Thank you!!

I think I can do it easily! So far based on the Banana Rum soup clue...day two is Saffron menu.

 

So according to your "clue" ( Marissas soup) I have deduced that day 2 Formal night is the Saffron menu.

 

Kim-If you can remember even one unique item (not an everyday item) from each day, I can easily pair it up with the menu and then I can post the whole 4 days at the end, with all the foods on the menu for that night. So wrack your brain, woman, scour those photos, interrogate the kids (trust me, you got a 15 yo, you'll need the practice :rolleyes:)...we've got important work to do to, future cruisers are depending on us....it's a a matter of life and :o....okay, that's a little over the top;) But I will do my best if you can come up with a menu item or two for each night!:D

 

 

 

According to the 4 day Enchantment compass - Dining menu is day 1- mojo, day 2- Saffron, Day 3- Pimiento Doesn't really say what day 4 is.

Just back from the 3 nighter on May 17th. I will be posting a review and pix in a day or so and will put up the compasses also, after I get them scanned.

 

I will say this...all in all a great staff, crew, ship, and cruise!!! :)

Our inside cabin did not have a refrigerator. Our safe was the old kind where you had to use a credit card to slide on the strip for opening and closing.

There absolutely IS a refrigerator in the room! I had our room attendant to clean it out so I could house our personal beverages.

Do you know if all the cabins have refrigerators or is it just the new ones?

I'll try to set time aside this weekend to do a review with some photos!

We sailed on Monarch during Hurricane Sandy and it was terrible!! I never got sick but awful headache and dizzy for days afterwards. We literally had the table fly from one side of the room to another. It was daughter's first cruise that I had finally talked her into going on and it was awful..Luckily, she has decided to give it another try.

First off.. some cruise ships have a contract with Blue Lagoon preventing cruisers from booking directly. Can't say how it works out if you try working around it.

 

As for you other question. Anyone booking an animal program, whether dolphin or sea lions, gets free use of the beach. This does NOT include use of any of the tubes, mats, inflatables, food etc. The beach day upgrade includes all of this. You can purchase this on the island.

 

You cannot pass around the water toys, so you would have to purchase the beach package if your kids want to use them.

Sorry if this was already answered but just want to make sure I understand the sea lion encounter is $129.00 through ship. If we book that, we are able to go on beach? Can you snorkel there?

Just and FYI- I tried to book directly through Dolphin Encounters and was told ship has all the spaces allotted to them for the time that we are in port. So, guess no choice. Stuck paying the extra money.

We did the Blue Lagoon Beach The 1st weekend in Aug. we have been to Nassau many times, but never to Blue Lagoon. It was a very nice day!!! Clean, beautiful beach..very nice ferryride over.

 

My only regret is that it was too short. On Monarch, the excursion didnt start until 1:00 so we did not arrive on the island until 2. They came around and said that the last ferry back was at 4:00. We packed up, showered and then heard the announcement that Monarch passengers could stay until 5:30...too late, we were headed to the ferry. we actually only spent 2 hrs with a lunch voucher that we didnt need.

 

I am glad we went, but the $68 pp was expensive for 2 hrs on the beach.

we are thinking of doing this excursion also but not sure if we want to go with ship or book direct. I am assuming you booked through ship - Does Monarch have a separate boat that take you to island or does everyone take the same ferry? Did you trip also include access to see the sea lions?

I had found a couple reviews where people went and said how awesome it was. Unfortunately, we did not go as it was raining the whole time we were there- But if you do go, let me know for next time..

Yes, I am- Originally, the excursion I was looking at was 3 hrs with just the snorkeling for same price. When I found this with the lunch and beach time, I was all for it.. Really wanted to go to beach so this is all extra and sounds great!

Thanks for the help. One more questions: I found a package for same price but offers Athol Island instead of Rose Island.. Are they about the same or would you recommend one over the other? This is my first time cruising and any info is appreciated. It sounds like a great time. Looking forward to it and can't wait to see the beach! Catamaran is called "Total Package" so I will see what I can find out about that.. Thanks again!!

This is perfect as to what we want to do, I am just hesitant as I do not see any reviews or can find anything out about these excursions and it does seem like good price. Thanks for your help

Has anyone booked through "bestonbahamas.com" ? Really interested in the Bahamas Paradise Ocean Snorkel. Anyone ever been to Rose Island? What kind of experience did you have? Any info appreciated- Just want to make sure their are a legit and dependable company. Thanks for any info on this.
