We will be arriving in Curacao on Nov. 10, 2014 by cruise ship. Our port times are 8am to 9pm. We do not have any plans for the day. We do enjoy snorkeling from the beach. This is where we need help. With such great port times would it be in our best interest to rent a car and travel on our own to beaches or walk around town in the am do a ship excursion in afternoon then watch sunset near the ship? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated..
Thanks and have a great day,
Denise

Thanks for the replies. Karysa I saw you posted in another thread that you enjoyed roads to Anse Marcel and cliffs in Cupocoy (sp). Do you think we could fit in some nice scenic views? Thanks again

We will be in port from 1pm to 8pm. The best I can tell we will be the only ship in that day. Things we would like to see are, Maho for the plains, Fort Lewis for the views, Marigot for desserts, and Grand Case for local foods. We will be renting a car and my questions are.... Is this all doable with the time we have and is there a good way to do this? Since this will be our first visit any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We will be St Thomas on Jan 17. Want to do Sapphire Beach, Paradise Point, and a little shopping. Would you advise renting a car or trying to find a tour? Can you even drive to Pardise Point?
Thanks for any input

We took your advice and reserved a car from Avis. Do you know where I can easily get a road map and or beach map? I use a tablet and have limited internet access. Also can you recommend the better snorkeling beaches and somewhere for lunch?
Thanks again
