WE will be on AOS nest week.  Now we have to have a PCR test before arriving,  despite having been vaccinated. Got one scheduled for Monday.  Fingers crossed for no false positives. WE do fly in the day of, everything was booked through Royal, including transfers.

Fortunately, false positives are incredibly rare. I would not worry about that. (Source: I'm a medical lab scientist who performs covid testing)

  2. Please don't shoot me, I swear I used the search feature.

About 10 days ago I requested a L&S on Royal's website for a cruise we had booked with a certain big box store. The new cruise now appears on my Royal account, but the old cruise is still showing on the big box account. Did something go wrong or am I supposed to call to notify them I switched? I really don't have the time to spend hours on hold so I was hoping someone has seen this before.

    Thank you!

  3. Medical Lab Scientist checking in! The test requires a specialized analyzer and certified testing personnel. It appears the kits have been distributed to state health labs and limited hospitals. It's not a blood test, it's a nasal swab. The actual test takes about 2 hours depending on several factors. Just wanted to chime in because I saw a lot of people talking about test kits onboard, but it's highly unlikely they're testing onboard.

eta: To answer why the tests have been delayed on the Diamond Princess- ?? Who knows. Maybe they have the results and aren't sharing them.

i'm curious, if you buy a drink, (not with pkg) if you didn't like it, if the bartender would be nice enough to replace it?

If you ask nicely and don't abuse it, they absolutely will replace it. You'll still be charged for the first drink and they'll take that drink away of course, but if you're doing this with pure intentions then they don't bat an eye.

I thought I remembered that. We like to hang out in the suite lounge on Oasis class ships a d also spend time on our balcony and that’s why we are bringing our own board.

AFAIK, you can check those items out for the week. Just trying to give you a little more space in your suitcase if needed 🙂

  6. This thread came at perfect timing! We just booked a cruise last night for us and our (yet to be born) son for next October! He should be about 15 months old and we're starting the research now to make sure it's a great vacation for all of us! Good luck and please report back once you've sailed!
