I have an amazing TA that I actually met on a cruise years ago. My friends now all use her as well. When I email her, 99% of the time I get a response within 5 minutes. She goes above and beyond for her clients. Love her!!

We just got Ovation and almost all drinks were $13 (that we wanted to try). I'm sure there are some that were more, but there were plenty at $13. We never had a problem in any bar getting what we wanted, including drinks of the day and we never paid any up charge.
We did tip a $1 or 2 for drinks since we were getting them for free, but we also did this in the Diamond Club on past cruises.
I was basically going by the RCCL app for our cruise which has all the bar menus and prices on it. Hopefully they are flexible, but if not, I don’t mind paying the difference.

There's no difference - the voucher will cover virtually all drinks (including the $14 ones). The prices vary slightly between ships (and in some markets the grats are included).
Awesome, thanks!!

For those of you who have already sailed and used vouchers..I’ve noticed that most drinks on bar menus are now $14. Do we just use a voucher and pay the difference?

Just dropped from 160.99/person to 88.99/person for our 10/6/21 Independence OTS. Started at 169.99, then dropped to 160.99 before today.
Same for our Anthem cruise in November.

Daughter and I are on the November 7th cruise. We are all set with a check in time. Fingers crossed.

On some ships where the norm is $14, the voucher should cover those.
Good to hear!! Thanks!

yes..any drink you purchase over $13 you pay the difference + gratuities. at 18%.....so a $14 drink would cost $1+$.18...
Thank you!!

As I look through the bar menus on the Royal app, almost every drink mentioned (except some wines) is $14 and our vouchers are for drinks up to $13. Can we order a $14 drink, use the voucher, and pay the difference 🤷♀️?

After 3 weeks of waiting for my OBC to show up, I asked by TA to call to inquire. She was on the phone for an hour. Turns out they lost the OBC notification, but when they recalculated, we got about $45 more.

I'm thinking of purchasing the 3 Night Dining Package for my upcoming Oasis of the Seas cruise. I typically eat dinner in the dining room, so I've never tried any of the specialty restaurants before.
1) Which 3 restaurants would you recommend using the package for?
2) For the al a cart restaurants do you typically end up having to pay extra, past the $20-$35 credit they give you?
3) Is it hard to get reservations once onboard?
Thanks!
Personally, I’ve eaten in Chops and Jamie’s Italian and enjoyed both. Hoping to try Wonderland on our November cruise.

Yes. The Custoner Services Dept. states that it can take up to 14 days for it to populate to the Cruise Planner. Usually, it happens much sooner and can be added in as little as 2-3 days. If it's not there in 14 days a call to Custoner Service would be in order.
It’s been 15 days for us. Guess I’ll need our TA to give them a call.

To address a few of the questions:
I got a price reduction for my 11/7 Anthem cruise on 8/18. The OBC was in my cruise planner in less than 24 hours.
The advice given about canceling any prepaids to use an excess of OBC is a good one. I once put $200 OBC into a casino credit the next to last night of the cruise. I played a total of $5.00 on video poker and cashed out - for cash! I seem to remember there was some small casino charge associated with the transaction.
Hmmm, we also got OBC for our November 7 Anthem cruise and I’ve yet to see it. May need to have my TA check on it. She got us the OBC on Aug 12th.

I'm having the same issue for our November 8 Serenade cruise. I could start the check-in online but it wouldn't let me pick a boarding time. When I try the app, I see my sailing but when I click on it, I get "We're working on the fun." Too early or IT glitch?
That happened to me when I did my check in for our November 7th cruise on Anthem. But 2 days later, check in times opened up. Keep checking.

I have a November 7 cruise and was able to check in at 90 days exactly.

From start to finish, it took my daughter 4 1/2 weeks to get her passport and that’s with no expedited fees.
-
I was able to check in for our November 7th Anthem cruise.

DW and I are also on the November 7th sailing. We have completed check-in
and were able to change our boarding time from 3 PM to 1 PM. I see this as a positive development. We are also booked on the Christmas Eve sailing as well as 1/20/22.
I was able to get the same time as well. All my 44 cruises have been with my husband, but this time I’m traveling with my almost 40 year old daughter. Sort of an early birthday present to her. We’re driving up from Virginia that morning. I’m glad you were able to switch your check in time.

That's great....a good sign. Question...does Anthem show for you on the app? We have it booked for December. I can view details of my other cruises but for Anthem, it doesn't open and just says "we're working on the fun".
Yes, I did my entire check in on the app.

I’m on Anthem’s November 7th sailing. So far, it’s still a go and we have already completed check in and received our setsail.

if your cruise is closed loop (starting and ending at the same port), you may still be able to check in. Just choose the birth certificate option and change it to passport once it comes in.Thanks, we did that and I was able to get a 1:00 pm check in time!

Yup.. And we have a 3:00-3:30 boarding time. .
Don’t we leave at 3:00? I’ve not been able to check in as we’re still waiting on my daughter’s passport.

My daughter and I are on the November 7th sailing of Anthem. If they canceled now, you’d have a lot of disappointed cruisers as check in has already happened.
