  1. My kids, 8 and 13, loved it. They enjoyed time with us and the kids/teen clubs.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion of WJ for Thanksgiving. We bought the UDP again so we will probably book a specialty restaurant for Thanksgiving but I'll pop into WJ for the mandatory stuffing.
  3. Not the poster but I suggest you use magnetic hooks.
  4. I think the policy is handled differently on different ships. May on the Empress my 13 year old could not return to the ship without a family member over 18 even though it was walk on. During that cruise tons of kids were left without their parents as the parents didn't want to pay the Cuba visa fee for the kids. My daughter complained all her friends were staying on while parents went off. No one on the ship batted an eye about all the kids on their own. Last week on the Anthem when I put down my 13 year old to sign out her younger sister AO said it was fine on sea days but on port days an adult would have to sign her out. This indicates that they thought the 13 year old may be on the ship without us. We took them both off one day and left the 13 year old the other day. On all port days on both cruises there were groups of teens/tweens on the ship without parents and plenty of staff around not saying anything about it.
  5. Good luck, I don't understand how a cabin can suddenly hold less people.
  6. Either way you would get his gratuities, port fees and taxes back but if she cancels him without replacing him she takes a chance that they could change her cabin. I vote no show and if someone else decides to go up to 48 hours ahead of time then she can switch the name.
  7. The current RC rule is you must carry on and limit of 12 - 17 oz bottles per stateroom. Results will vary. I've had them count the bottles and I've had them never look.
  8. It would be nice if you would post the link to your vlog a few times in this post so people can jump over there.
  9. On the Allure we were able to use it at the Hibachi Grill. You could not use the other packages there though.
  10. I feel for you. Not sure what change fees you would have with the airline but I would try to salvage the cruise.
  11. Did it on Empress. They gave you unopened ones in the Windjammer.
  12. The prices are amazing the last few days. Just checked my binder and we originally booked our cabana at $520.99 and with canceling and repurchase we are down to $299.
  13. Really? Should they pull their staff from the relief efforts on the other islands to clean this up for you? It isn't as easy to clean up as you believe. Mexico has been having this problem for years with the sea grass and although big AI resorts try to tackle the problem it isn't so easy to clean up. They can clean it today but since the ocean has current it can be back tomorrow. It will take months for the waters around the islands to get back to normal after the hurricane. Alert others of the smell but don't criticize the clean-up effort. They are doing what they can. Would you have preferred to skip Coco Cay? Then stay on the ship and make it a sea day.
  14. You only book one name so they only charge you for 1 cabana then on board you will tell them names and cabin numbers for the passes.
  15. I want to sub Food Republic for that night so I guess I'll make the call tomorrow when they are open.
