O, and on another point, I will never book Viking or any cruise that requires you to pay in full more than a year in advance. I will never forget what happened when Renaissance went belly-up.
jc
With full payment a year in advance good insurance would be a must. Too long of a time frame with full payment.

This is from RC website:
"The average service capacity for a single call day on the island is projected at 6,500 guests."
During peak season you can easily have 11,000 passengers docking with just 2 ships.

We are on Oasis at Coco Cay that day, Mariner and Independence are also at Coco Cay that day.
That would be over 12,000 passengers at only double occupancy. I don't think the island has that much capacity.

It doesn't look like they are setup for tendering anymore so it would be limited to 2 ships.

I didn't see any tugs in any of the footage. Does Cozumel not have or require them?

A dumb captain, period. Bet he will be looking for another job.
It wasn't his fault. He blew the horn!

There may be time that you don't want to be out on the balcony but that also holds true for ocean side balconies.
Sometimes it is too windy and cold. Other times it can be very bright and hot.
-
And maybe this was just a cheap knock-off that was used on vacation trips.

RC should start Charter Schools. Then the could fill the ships during the off season.
Although that would work against our cruising time.

Pleas list your carrier and type of phone and you will get all kinds of good help.

I've seen that several times. I don't get why they would do that. Of course I'll pick my own if its cheaper.
Very odd.
Their pricing algorithms are probably very complex and based on a huge amount of constantly changing data. Discrepancies are bound to happen. We see this kind of thing happening everywhere.
I just purchased a printer for $99.99 and if I spent $100 I would get $20 off. So I ordered a .69 Cent box of paper clips. The paper clips were shipped to me in their own box.

Unfortunate that the cruise line seemed to misrepresent how they would handle the situation. However, this is not the first time this has been reported. They pretty much will say anything to get you off the ship and out of their hair so they can get the next set of guests onboard.
It sure is refreshing seeing someone not always backing up RC's actions.

So, a 20% discount on a future cruise with date restrictions, as a return for exposure to sewage.....just sayin'.
This was probably clean water from the supply line of the toilet. Everything else is on the vacuum side. .

Did they tell you at the time of the change that you were getting money back?
This could be bookkeeping screw-up you ended up with a refund.
-
WOW! And I thought the Specialty restaurants were getting pricey for dinner.

They do mention interline rates separately. As long as it doesn't mean you can't use a travel agent.
Thanks!
-
What does it mean " Benefit is not combinable with travel agent rates"? Is this any travel agent or just the ones with Block pricing?
-
I don't understand why this is so shocking. If you have a 20 year old along with you they have to either be in your cabin or a cabin next or adjacent to yours.

We had adult children staying on deck 2 on the Explorer and it is definitely noisier down there. There was droning of the engines and more vibration. During this cruise we had rough sees one day and they reported that the waves were hitting the windows. They had video of it and it was solid water not just spray. I assume deck 3 will be about the same.

I called to cancel on Thursday and I still haven’t received my full refund.
If you didn't receive any refund it takes time to show up but if this means you received a partial refund I would be concerned.
In the future you should the total before committing to payment. With hotels the total can be substantially higher with the extra added taxes and any other fees they may have.

Definitely a weird situation. You can get thrown off the ship for the behavior of someone you have NO legal authority over.
-
If you do stream be sure to verify that you can stream collage football.
-
I don't think they are going from having a couple of reruns all cruise long to a sports package without adding a fee.
-
I guess if they have the opportunity to turn sea day into a revenue generating day they will add the extra stop.

The explorer was very much liked when it sailed out of Bayonne. The crew was mostly top notch. But that was many a years ago now.
