  1. all the offended, please get a jar of playdoh and some coloring books out.

I somewhat agree with your review, was on the BA 10/8 I think second trip with new intinerary

Agree with the NY/NJ clientele...definitely different that Boston.

The clothes I seen worn in the MDR were a disgrace, short shorts, flip flops and wife beater t-shirts.....GROSS and were allowed. COME ON NCL, tell these people to turn around and look in the mirror.

Heavy smokers...but who cares, not my lungs.

Didn't notice too much wear and tear on the ship, also cruised on BA in 2016, BA is only like 4 years old.

What is also GROSS, is the number of people using their water bottle to fill at the water station, even though it says do not user personal bottle at the station. Is this NY/NJ behavior where they don't read rules......not sure.

  2. Been a RC cruiser for many years, tried NCL for the first time...never again.

Went on the Breakaway from Manhattan for a 7 day Bahamas cruise.

First off, the continous vibration at the Garden Cafe. The utensils were shaking on the table plus when you

were sitting it was like siting on a vibrator seat, it was ridiculous! I asked the the attendants if this was normal,

they said that sometimes it is worse!!

We never saw our room attendant, except on the first day. Whenever we passed the other attendants going to our

room, they never smiled, not an hello, nothing. We had to re-register our entertainment package.

And bought a watch on a supposedly sale. Found out through Amazon, we paid 30$ more than we should have AND the watch has a defect!! Nope, its back to Royal Carribean for us:mad:

LMAO you are not liking NCL due to a watch as one of the reasons. Seriously? Who made you buy it?

I would say if the room was picked up and well kept by the room steward, not seeing him/her is no issue

Vibration....dude it is a vehicle....floating in water. Could be any number of reasons. Can happen on any cruiseliner

  3. We sailed on the Dawn to Bermuda this past September as a last minute deal. We had no expectations since we had grown accustomed to the bigger ships BA , GA and the Escape and didn't want to spend our entire vacation comparing the Dawn to it's newer and bigger siblings. . So we went with an open mind... and WOW to our surprise we absolutely LOVED our cruise on the Dawn and it made us realize that bigger doesn't have to mean better. We didn't miss all the things that we thought we would miss. AND Bermuda is just awesome and beautiful! :)

We usually do a winter getaway each year and had plans to book the Escape or Getaway for 2018. But after sailing on the Dawn it has completely changed our mind set and we are now booked on the Jade for our 2018 winter getaway.

Take a look at my video if you want to get an idea of what to expect on the Dawn and Bermuda.

    Happy Sailing!

awesome video! did you use a drone at certain times? where is the cave like area where you went swiming that has stairs leading down to it?

  4. Hello. I just came off the Breakaway last week (10/8-15) and no magic and mayhem show. Chip Romero which was such a snoozer I left after a few minutes.

Due definitely catch the dueling pianos if you can the 3 musicians they have now doing it are fantastic!

Was on the Breakaway last week as well...only saw Chip's up close show on Saturday, the guy is good. Not as good as David DaVinci.

and you say last week's dueling piano was good, good grief. Spent less than an hour all week (4 shows).

Last year on Breakaway, Ben Michaels, Jeff Taylor and Josh Hamilton were fantastic, probably only missed 1 hour of their 12 hours they played

  5. I am definitely not complaining....I have no issues with NCL or any cruise line using safety first. I know most people don't think same way as me.

If you book during hurricane season, don't expect you get what you book. There is a reason why the pricing level drops for this season.

Last year, left Bermuda on Breakaway 2 hours early...and it was like the hot topic you could over hear people saying how pissed they were. ***....captain made the call we are leaving at 1pm .....winds were 25 mph at 11:30am...by 12:45pm they picked up to 45 mph....GOOD CALL by the captain.

  6. Hi

    first enjoy your cruise.....

I don't see why they wouldn't let your wife join you at Cagney......and yes you can join them and in the MDR and then go to the other couple of free dinning restaurants directly after that and then hit the buffet after that.

there is no limit on how many times you eat in the free restaurants per day

    hope that helps
