does anyone know if the Breakaway has live webcams throughout the duration of the cruise? I really look down on this because it's an invasion of privacy. thanks.

First time sailing up North. Been watching Hurricane Jose and it seems like it has stalled a little. Must say I am a little concerned with the models that show it heading North!

hi not to sound mean...but when you booked the trip. Did you not know you were booking a cruise during hurricane season? Just curious.

I think I'm gonna cancel my cruise to the eastern carribean. The damage from Irma could be catastrophic and I really don't want to switch to the western. My cruise is in 4 months. I have 5 more weeks before my final payment.

did you first bother to go to the NCL website....has everything spelled out there regarding photo packages.

I see no issues..and no it is not harassment either. You decided not to put a credit card down, fine....but you didn't have the $$ in your OBC to cover the cost. Sounds like NCL/SPA was just doing there normal routine of getting their $$.

Aren't the breakaway and escape practically the same ship

Breakaway and Getaway are the twin ships.....Escape is like 20K tons heavier

will get a drink in Margaritaville in Oct but will not eat there.

used two for my breakaway cruise scheduled 10/8 with no problems....have used them in the past and will keep buying them

I got the bid email on Friday 7/19...opened it. and went to the site, because I was out of town, didn't have time to really look at it.

Got home yesterday, opened the email and went to the site, and couldn't make any bids.

I had weight loss surgery last year, so I can only eat small amounts of food. I think ordering two appetizers would suit me (I'm also vegetarian, and I usually prefer the appetizer options to the entrees).

 

I know I could eat in the buffet (and did on a cruise with my mother last October) but I'm travelling solo on a 20 day cruise next month, and I would prefer to eat some of my meals in the MDR with other people.

 

Is it weird to just order appetizers?

Why do you care what anyone else thinks...you are on vacation...you order just appetizers....Go for it!

My family consists of my husband, two teen boys 17 and 15. My oldest son is over 6 ft tall and the younger is not far behind. When we originally booked our cabin mid ship balcony, the representative would not allow us to book two adjoining cabins due to the boys ages. I booked the cabin and figured I would live with it....and it did not hurt that the boys sailed free. We are now 40 days out and I am getting more concerned about space. I did bid on the Haven suites, but am not overly optimistic. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve or am I being ridiculous and we will fit fine? There is a lot of cabins left, so I called NCL to see if I got a different answer but I did not.

There are 2 shows that you can pre book.

One is Rock of Ages, which is not appropriate for your age kids. Not sure I would have let my 14 year old watch it, if he had wanted to.

Was on the breakaway last September, my then 12 year old watched Rock of Ages....the show isn't that bad......shelter your kids I guess, then watch how they turn out.

We are looking to book angle-balcony cabin 14262 on Breakaway which sleeps 3. Looking at the deck plans, it would appear the bed is by the balcony. But I read a post here that said if the cabin sleeps 3 then the bed is always by the closet. Those things contradict. Has anyone been in this cabin and can say for sure where the bed is? Thanks.

I am going out on a limb here, your bed will be in your room. I don't think it will in the hallway or the room stewarts cleaning closet.
