  1. Just now, topnole said:

Enjoy the suite.  We were on deck 11 and the balcony is huge and the view of the theater is good.  The balconies get smaller the higher your deck, but either way the cabin, overall, is wonderful.

    Hi topnole,

At first I booked deck 14. Then I did more research and realized that deck 11 had the biggest balcony. I would have been so freaking pissed off if I got stuck on the higher deck.

We love to people watch but I also appreciate having privacy on the outer balcony area. I am very excited. 😎

  2. I was wondering the same thing. I am in a 1BR ATS on Oasis in May. My husband doesn't drink and I don't plan on getting a drink package.

My plan was to bring 2 bottles of bubbly 🍾on the ship and order a couple bottles of liquor for the room. I was hoping to supplement my drinking in the suite lounge 😁

  3. We are in 11730 for our May 2022 cruise. I found a video where they did a walkthrough of the remodeled rooms on Oasis. They removed the old step-up bathtubs and now have walk-in showers. 🙂 Also, the rooms on the 11th deck have the biggest balconies.

A quick google search will bring you to the video. (It is a travel agency that has a really tall guy as the narrator. I don't think I am allowed to share the link on here but I took a snapshot of the shower part.)

  4. I am opened minded when it comes to being naked, so I say to each his/her own! (Of course discretion should be minded while in port). If you are comfortable in your own skin and want to feel the fresh sea air "all over", yay for you.

Funny story, on my first cruise I spent a little bit of time in the buff on my balcony during sea days. It wasn't until the near the end of the cruise that I was leaning over the railing (not naked) and looked up to find a bunch of people looking down. Turns out there was a bar and dining area a few floors above us. *blush*

  5. I also found this posted in a different thread:

  6. Not sure what all the prices are, but you have to call to arrange the bar set-up. Unless you are in the Haven, then you can arrange it through your concierge.

We are in a Haven suite and ordered a bottle of Grey Goose for $109 plus 18% service fee.

  7. I was also told that because I booked with a TA, I would have to cancel my current booking (and pay a penalty) and rebook.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

If you wait until it gets closer and the prices drop (depending on the category, there will be H level rooms left and they come way down in price) just call your TA and upgrade. Instead of waiting on the bids, I just called and paid the difference in the price to upgrade. I wanted a specific room and didn't want to chance waiting for a huge price drop.

  8. I feel like, everyone there is on vacation to relax and enjoy themselves and anyone should be able to wear whatever they want regardless of the cruise line.

That said, I will be bringing some nice outfits to wear on the Silhouette in a couple of weeks because I enjoy dressing up once in a while, but I honestly don't give one crap about what anyone else will be wearing. I have WAY more important things in my life to worry about.

BTW, some of those jeans with holes and rips are designer jeans and actually cost quite a bit of $$$.

  9. My advice would be to find a nice hotel around the Secaucus area that offers free parking and maybe a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. The area near the Meadowlands has shops and restaurants close by. Contact a transportation company in the area the specializes in airport/NYC transportation and see if you can have a van pick everyone up (and arrange for post-cruise pick up) Depending on how much luggage you have, it would be a pain in the arse to travel in NYC via train/subway.
