  1. Plenty of time between now and then to get yourself SCUBA-certified. Hands-down some of my favorite dives "from a cruise ship" were in Grand Turk.

  2. FWIW, I just tried it for the first time, app was a little wonky for me asking for a username and password even after I said I wanted to use Apple to login, so I then tried the google route, and that seemed to work. I use Merril Edge, and since it is/was not included in the brokerages options, I went the "Plaid" route (whatever that is). I THOUGHT it was asking for a pic of my statement at first, then it tried to get me to give them my Edge login credentials (not cool AT ALL), but I was able to get back to the page asking for the statement pic. So I uploaded a current pic of my holdings, and I'll see if they accept it.

  3. Just got off a VERY full Vista cruise over Spring Break (were told full-capacity) , never waited more than 5 minutes at any bar I was at for any drink, including cans of soda (Dr Pepper bc sailing out of TX). My wife and I had Cheers, the girls had BB, never once did they serve us anything less than a full can with a glass of ice. Of course, we always tipped cash with the signature (on top of the pre-paid gratuity), so maybe that had something to do with it?

  4. For what it's worth - I submitted my first ever Stock OBC request a couple weeks ago for a cruise in March, but apparently did not send the right kind of ownership proof. So this past Saturday night I downloaded my statement from M/L, resent the email, and then this morning received my "approved" email. Easy-peasy.

  5. Well either I am lying, or those aren't the ones I am looking for 😮 The specific ones I am looking for are the ones currently in the MDR. I must have assumed all the ships have the same ones at the same time. I guess the answer to my original question so far is "no".

  6. Hey all! I will be cruising with the wife and some friends on the May 11th Magic. I've been told there is a pool table in the Sports area, and can definitely see myself shooting a few racks on the sea days especially. One thing I can't find anywhere in prior posts is whether this is a "pay-to-play" table, or if it is a simple drop-pocket design. Thanks in advance!

  7. I was under the impression they are the excursion providers on St Kitts for Carnival, and as such would not work with me separately. Am I confused? Either way, I went out and submitted our info, will look for the response back.

    Thanks for the pointer! 🙂

  8. I will be travelling to St Kitts on May 15 aboard the Carnival Magic, with a couple other ships in port as well. I ordered the 2-tank SCUBA excursion, but after paying discovered that the excursion time is 12:30p-4:30pm. When I called the Carnival Excursion line, the FIFTH person I was transferred to (after a hang-up as well), informed me rather tersely there was nothing he could do, and no further info he could give me. Long story short I would much rather dive early (we are due to arrive at 7), and not be out on the reef after its been tilled up by the other divers. To the divers out there who have gone "rogue" (aka non-ship-excursion) diving at St Kitts, who did you choose? Thanks in advance!

  9. My wife and I will be travelling to St Maarten via Carnival on May 14. We expect to be in port from 9am to 6pm, and have signed up for a Sea Trek excursion that has an estimated time of 11:30a to 2pm. According to our calculations that leaves about 5-6 hours of time to do other things, and so she suggested we go to Maho too. Looking at the map it looks like the excursion and ship are pretty close with Maho 22 mins (drive) to the West. Reading other posts I see it could be dicey getting back to the ship in time to leave, so I want to ask who else has left in the afternoon for Maho and then gotten back to boat? And if you did, how much time to leave to get there?

    Thanks in advance!!!
