Do they offer tiers like Princess  Captain's Circle?

Each day you cruise is another VIFP point earned, so whether you like long cruises or spontaneous getaways, every one is totally worth it.

    Blue First sailing.

    Red 2nd sailing – 24 points.

    Gold 25–74 Points.

    Platinum 75–199 Points.

    Diamond 200+ Points.

I'm doing Singapore to Sydney on Carnival Splendor in August, starting with a week in Penang and a few days in Singapore before I get on board. But first I have to get through June and July. I hate winter.

We are doing two weeks in Penang and one night in Singapore before joining you on the Splendor back to OZ. Looking forward to escaping the dreaded westerlies 🥶 that arrive in August here in Nelson Bay.😎

I have one more P&O booked for next year and then we are "Out"!

I have already stopped cruising with P&O after our last cruise. There are better options available.

Help----we r planning an AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND cruise in March 2024. Are you able to not book cruise ship excursions and just get off at the ports and get taxi/or tours from locals? We have done that in the Caribbean for example. OR pre-book a tour online from locals? We have never been to Aus/NZ .  Thanks for any info.

I tend to stay clear of the overpriced ship tours and do what you are proposing. Saves lots of 💰 🤑

Thanks everyone for the recent posts. 🙂
From what I read it is still a bit difficult if you want to go to the Gondola on the way to/from the ship as there are no ship excursions.
Not sure if it is possible to shuttle into Christchurch and then take the local bus back to Lyttelton via the Gondola, then be able to access the port.

This is what we did on our last trip. Got on the bus from Christchurch and after visiting the Gondola, there was a bus to take us into Lyttelton. It was easy.

She sure is in Sydney, but not for long.

The queue was shorter at the front, and we were in the dining room just after noon.

First day in port for the season means delays via border force. Boarding started just after noon and all were aboard by 4. Check-in is rapid now that covid is out of the way.

Just backing-out now. Time to be cruising!!

What time did you join the queue?

Do they have Australian power points or do we need to bring adapters? Yes

Is the inside temperature cool? I'm just starting to pack today and not sure what to pack. We've found HAL's ship's dining rooms to be on the cool side. Depends, not for me but sometimes it is for my wife.

Someone's who been on a longer cruise may know this. Does Princess still have designated formal/dressy nights? Yes. As a guide, a 7 day cruise has 2 formal nights. Not everyone dresses to impress.

Thanks for any information and enjoy your cruise😃
