This will be our first cruise on Celebrity.  We are assigned early dining.  Another couple will be joining us(also have early dining) and as a result, we would like a table for four.  Can we reserve this in advance?  We are using different travel agents.

we are signed up for our first celebrity cruise and will be aboard the Constellation.  We  would like to know if we should pre purchase shore excursions or can we wait until we are aboard?

We spent two weeks on the Nieuw Amsterdam in Jan. and recognized a lot of the crew(Hi Maybelle!).  Such a nice video to sent to the Zandam and Rotterdam....it has been quite the ordeal!

Meant to say, the residents of Pitcarin Island were not able to come onboard.

Looking forward to following you again on your world cruise adventure.  We also were on the Massdam cruise that went to Easter Island.  We were very disappointed that the residents of Easter Island were not allowed to come onboard.  It will be interesting to see if  they can come onboard the Amsterdam.

Glad you got to meet up with Larry in FLL.  We have enjoyed your blog about the New Statendam.  Is the ship spoiling you for the return to the Massdam next summer?

 Just  back home from the Massdam...overall, a great cruise.  I am looking forward to your take on the New Statendam....  I do think the library loss was related to  how the area could be used for a money making space(ie. bar drinks!)

I've not read mention of San Blas islands in years but have very fun memories of a few visits there. Did the young men dive for 'hings thrown overboard ?"

I am currently on Exc in depth voyage on Massdam. Today, at San Blas Islands, they took out one of the Two zodiacs on board. The other ones will be added in Lima. No excursions for passengers until after French Polynesia. The ship has new carpeting, some engine work and new decor in Crows nest during dry dock. The ship was a little “rough” when boarded. Still have workers on board and crew trying to get everything cleaned up and in working order. One of the life boats is out of commission. Some reports of plumbing problems. Lectures and onboard entertainment has been good so far.

Anyone find any exc in depth voyages with the explore 4 package available?

For the first 88 days of EXC itineraries aboard the Massdam, there is only 1 zodiac excursion listed, that being in Dravuni Island. I was hoping for more zodiac opportunities. I think their new concept could be a work in progress!

I certainly enjoyed reading all the world cruise blogs. I will probably suffer withdrawal until next January's world cruise starts. Thank you to all of you bloggers!

It seems that many of the older ships have a problem with keeping the staterooms at a cool enough temperature, especially when they are going thru warm and hot climates. I was wondering if anyone has ever brought their own fan onboard? We are driving to the port and so could bring the fan onboard, and then leave it or discard it after our 80+ day cruise.

Very much doubt if there will be any "free excursions"! I imagine HAL is still working out the specifics for the Zodiac tours.

Thank you for the informative link. As of now, shore excursions do not show any zodiac excursions. It will be interesting to see what is offered and at what cost,
