Hope it's not JUST the last port day
-
Since its in the Bahamas. Whats the best/calmest time of month to call there.
I'm going in January. Bahamas is usually calm then. At Least I hope!
-
All I Read was MILF. in bold
-
Is it weather related issues where the ship can't anchor properly. Why do I just only read about GSC cancelled.
What months are the worse to visit there? Where u most likely won't call?
-
I am not that nieve. I know there is no charge but just wondered how often it is. Going on a 14 day . 8 ports. Would love to have this all 8 days rather than just the final port!
-
Notice they were on the LIBERTY!
it's a 4 day cruise! Not knocking then. But I go to the casino every weekend for 3 days. They just decided to do 4 day trips on carnival.
My aunt's been on on 68 with Norwegian and 85% of them were 7+ days.
I'm pretty positive thats all they do. 3 to 4 day cruises... 878 days DIVIDED 200 cruises.. 4.39 days on average. Pretty easy to do if u live near a cruise port. If do the same thing if I lived in Flaverafe. Beats going to a casino
But never the less a cool milestone

Noticed in some videos the "away" class ships. Have a red carpet and music playing and all crew members dancing welcoming you back in all the islands for the guests getting back in the ship. Does the Breakaway do it? Every island or port or just some times?
I like it and it's a neat added bonus to the guests

This actually isn't true. The Vista did a repo cruise from New York to Miami with passengers and I was on the Sun Princess for a repo cruise from Ft Lauderdale to Seattle. :D I've seen many other examples of repo cruises going from US port to US port as well. Since it's such a short amount of time between Horizon's cruises, I'd say she is sailing empty though or it's some sort of charter cruise.
My friend did that cruise..
Both of you make sense. And i think both are right.
US to US without making any calls they cannot carry guests
The vista reposisitioned but called at ports.
That's why cruises to no where are illegal now because the workers need to be calling at foreign ports for thier working papers to be legal. Cruises to no where didnt Do that.
Hence NY to MIA straight thru is in fact a cruise to know where.
Makes sense now

I said on her last voyage out of NYC Sept 13 to 17 of 2018.
She's then in Miami on Sept 20!?.
Why is it not showing a transitioning itinaery? Is she sailing down empty to Miami? Or is it a special cruise not available to public?

Can u use it in casino?

Wow, how can you plan?? (Shakes fist to the Norwegian God's) [emoji23]

Tell me about it. I'm on a 14day with 8 calls. St maarten has 7 ships that day. It will be swamped. If other lines released theirs I'm worried to availibity on ours since some might not be offered

Way to many posts and reading them all just confused me more
I have a decent amount of NON refundable OBC. Meaning it must be used in its entirety or i lose it. That won't be an issue.
Where can I Not use it? Casino? Paying pre paid tips?
Thanks all. Happy Easter/Passover

I'm 8 mo out. 0 for me yet

BA and ES both have a 32 as foot balcony. In terms the angle is the same slightky a bit wider at 40 sq feet
-
We had been a little further back on Deck 5, portside on the BA near that area - and walk thru the wide corridor quite a few time, AFT to FWD and back - loud noise should NOT be a problem. It might be a busy place for 16 to 18 hours a day that it's not like you are below the dance studio or night club, we never heard footsteps as the sound insulation between floors are quite good on the *Away class ships. Noises from any "honeymooners" next door are likely to be more obvious while you are sleeping, #wink #wink.
It's very easy to go everywhere from your stateroom with much fewer foot traffic; and, you can usually get into those "smallish" elevators to go up to the buffet or pool deck, gangway to go ashore on port days are just one floor below. Crew members do sometimes walk thru but many will be below your deck along "I-95"
BTW, those family oceanviews are nice & roomy for this class of ships.
If you go down a floor on deck 5 I'm in 5170. What's ur advise from where u were on deck 5?
-
Is that a noisy area to be below if I'm staying in an 01 category Family dekuxe?

What is that large white block port side thats behind the reception desk? Is that thier back office or what else can be in such a large space
(The space the Reception Desk Wording) is written in.

I book my room according to # of ports. More ports I go balcony. And less ports lower room. Horizon in 2018 is only Bermuda. 4 nights. No brainer interior just to be on board. 14 day cruises with 7 or 8 ports gotta be in balcony or I'd go stir crazy!!!! For 14 days. 4 days I can handle as it will be my first down grade too. But for me. 4 days on the Horizon. I wont even have time to sleep!!!

I cant see "wasting" 2 days down and 2 days back looking at the water. there is nothing else to see. and then I'm taking a chance of hitting bad weather. no thank you. Id rather fly to the ship in fla. and have 2 extra days in the sun and sand. and calm water.
Actually it's 3 days down and 3 days back. Week at sea. Week on land. Stick to your 7 day itinaries and get less sea days :)

Hand them 10$ p.p. (usually 2 or 3) 1st day. Introduce ourselves. Love towel animals. Make sure they can turn down room 2x a day.
It seems like tipping helps for me cuz someone is usually napping at odd times and out steward always finds a way to turn the room down even if it was 10pm when we went to a show. Always have they worked around our schedule
I usually give 20$ half way thru for Amazing work
Last cruise we had diamond levels next door and they asked me if we were getting service and towels changed daily and said yes. They said they were not liking his service and only getting 1 turn down after requesting 2. Maybe they didn't tip or just were not friendly?
The last night i see my stewards I gave him a 100$ bill. Personally with a hand shake. If i can blow 100 in a casino or on drinks. Sure can give 100+ for the week to a caring generous individual that Is supporting his family back home and will always be smiling no matter how hard his day really is. Best thing is coming back to a clean cabin to sleep and wake up in.

Based on research I booked the 14 day BA for 2018. Cannot wait. Have the Escape 14 days for 2019 for itinerary. Carnival got skimpy with casino offers after taking 3 free in 1 year
I ask all you breakaway fans on here. What's some tips of the ship u can share. Quiet spots. How many shows repeat on 14 nighters!? What times are better to book shows 7 or 9? Does MDR menu differ from taste and savor even ever so slightly? Does Moderno still do complementary breakfast or Margrittaville.

Considering a January 2018 cruise on the Breakaway. Looking forward to review.
Book it!!!!! U will have less than 100 kids under 18

Slots $5 = 1 pt
Video poker $10= 1 pt
5000 points is drink card.
Says I can use points earned in casino towards folio. What's the ratio on that.
Ever 500 pts is 50$? Or what's the break down if I get 5000 points. How much money comes off my final folio if I choose to apply the points to it?
-
Do you accumulate points for your sailing at the check in? Or do they get added after your sailing.
Found it weird and Saw priority Check in is bronze and higher. 1-29 pts. So basically returnees go in diff lines than true first timers? Just wondering
My aunt will be going from gold to platinum in this 14 day trip. Will she get benifits of platinum this sailing or after the 14 days? And still will be gold all 14 days?
did NCL sky also not dock at GSC today?
in Norwegian Cruise Line
