  1. Thanks for the input and the photos. I think we will do the 2 days there as it seems very nice and not much hassle. We will do the ferry and the cab to save a little. I mentioned the bus and the 1/2 mile walk and my wife just said "No"

I would rather go here than the beach at the shipyard

  2. We are going to Bermuda in 2 weeks on the Breakaway. This is our 5th time there and we have done all the beaches several times plus the main attractions.

We are looking for a nice quite beach day and we have booked Coco Reef for 2 days. I was wondering if it is overkill to go there 2 days in a row. Not sure if anyone has done that.

  3. We were not fans of the beach area and the facilities at Tobacco Bay. The beach is tiny and was really dirty. Cigarettes everywhere and really not a good place to change.

The area is very nice and the swimming is good. I like Horseshoe Bay much better. We are doing Coco Reef in 2 weeks

  4. Talked with NCL today. They would not go down on the price, the person was nice and said to keep checking back.

Also I asked if I would get the new perks (already have UBP) and it was explained to me that I would keep what I had at my original booking. That may have swayed me more.

She did say I could do a new booking with the current perks for $8500.00 (crazy). The Haven Spa's are sold out as well.

  5. Well we got the upgrade email for our cruise on the Breakaway the week of June 28th. Currently we have a Spa Balcony cabin. We also plan to get the Vibe passes. The offer is 750 pp for the Haven Court Yard Penthouse or 1000 pp for the Haven Spa room.

I say yes and my wife is on the fence. Please let me know if you think this is worth the cost to upgrade. I would most likely pass on the Vibe if we had the Haven. Not Sure on the Spa.

    What should I do?

  6. We used Jessie James a few years back. They do a great job. There is enough shade but the boat is on the small side

They pick you up and drop you off right next to the ship and you go to 3 spots. One to learn to snorkel in shallow water, the 2nd is over the sunken ship (40 to 50 feet of water) and then to a reef.

Overall the best snorkel trip we have done and we did save money over booking with the ship. No need to worry.

  7. Funny thing I am in Barcelona for work and staying in a hotel about 15 from the cruise terminal. I spoke to a couple at the front desk that just got off a cruise and they got to the hotel about 10:00 this morning.

You may need the extra time.

  8. Just got an email from our good friends at NCL and they offered to move us from a spa balcony to a spa mini suite (no cost). The thing is that we would have to go a week earlier.

Forgot to mention we are booked on the BA the week of June 28th and I wanted to go as late in the season as possible due to water temps (can't go later because of work). I doubt a week would make a difference. The main question is that is it worth switching?

  9. My Wife and I just booked a spa balance through NCL yesterday for the Breakaway during the same week. We went with the UDP and price was 1,688 per person. We did not get the OBC of course.

We get access to the spa for the week which would be 199 per person if bought on its own. So your deal is about the same as ours.

  10. Hi, I know I could find most of the answers if I searched the forum for 3 hours but I figured I would ask the helpful people here.

We have 2 families going on NCL and wanted to do multiple things at Blue Lagoon. We have 2 people that want to go to the dolphin encounter, 2 that want to do the dolphin swim and 4 that want to use the beach.

My question is that the beach activity is 5 hours and the dolphin part is 3.5. I wanted to know if we could go to the island and return on the same boat. Also can you go to the beach after the dolphin part and stay longer than the 3.5 hours stated on the site.

Essential can you do both the beach/dolphin part and how long can you stay there?

  11. Thank you for all the information. This really helped. We have just the one bedroom since it is just my Wife and I. Layout looks the same except the extra bed room.

We got the last room unless we could pay for a Garden Villa which we can't.
