Nights 2 & 6

We always stay at the Hyatt Place on 17th and right next door is a wonderful Italian restaurant called Bistro Mezzaluna. Great food and atmosphere.
-
Someone on the Celebrity Cruises Captains Club page posted from the Reflection earlier (left FLL on the 2nd) and reported that St Kitts and Grenada were just cancelled on their cruise and replaced with St Marteen and Barbados. Also yesterday’s port of St Croix was replaced with a stop in the Bahamas on Monday.
-
So glad we made the decision to cancel this one when final payment was due in Oct! Having had the Reflection Suite booked it was a tough choice, but now with all the issues of cancelled flights, pre boarding covid tests, port changes, now having to mask indoors and the possibility of catching covid and having to leave our suite to quarantine, I am happy to be sitting on my sofa in my sweats watching football!
There will definitely be other cruises in our future which will be stress free and more enjoyable!- 1

Very very unlikely it cancels. We are in Florida for tomorrow's Reflection cruise and have decided to head home instead. There are many late cancelations on this sailing too.
We also were supposed to sail on Reflection tomorrow but cancelled when final payment was due. Too many what-ifs were in play. It was a really hard pill to swallow because we booked this 2 yrs ago and we were to be staying in the Reflection Suite to celebrate our upcoming 40th Anniversary 😞

There is no smoking anywhere inside a Celebrity ship!

Suite guests are permitted to dine in Blu based on availability. You can speak to the Maitre D in either Luminae or Blu to arrange it.
For your sister in law to dine in Luminae as a non suite guest, but as your guest there is a fee for each meal. I am unsure of the cost, but someone else I’m sure can answer that for you. I am pretty sure the fee is put on the suite guest onboard account.

I’ve stayed in the RS on the Summit which is the sister ship of the Constellation and there is only one access into the bathroom, which is through a small hallway. Door to the bedroom is on one side, door to the bathroom is on the other, walk in closet right in front of you. There is no door in the dining room that gives you access to the bathroom.

Most of the S2 suite balconies on Deck 6 look right down at the life boats below them.

Can my husband wear a polo shirt for dinner? We have a 5 night Caribbean cruise booked on the Constellation in November.
Absolutely!

As others have said, we head straight to the Retreat/Michaels Club lounge to enjoy a drink or two and just unwind from the excitement and anticipation of finally being onboard. After that we lunch in Luminae where the last two times we sailed our butler came to meet us to introduce himself and take our carry-on luggage to our suite. Usually after lunch our luggage has been delivered and I get to unpacking in time to enjoy champagne on our balcony as we sail off on another memorable vacation!

I agree with ECCruise. Oceania has much better food than Celebrity, cabin amenities are better too. Azamara is a step down from Oceania too. We sailed on the Quest in December 2019, having been told that once we tried it we would never sail any other cruise line. Well, it wasn’t all that! I would choose Oceania first any day of the week.
We always have an outside cabin on Celebrity and there are some really good outside cabins with super big windows and extra space because of no balcony. Millenium is a very nice ship, the speciality restaurants are good. If Qsine is available do book. There is nothing like it in Oceania.
I feel your pain with the cancellation, have they not offered you an alternative?
Q-sine was phased off Celebrity ships about 3 yrs ago. The space is now Le Petite Chef, which in my opinion was a downgrade from what it was.
Q-sine was always our go to restaurant on the 1st night of all our cruises. Miss it very much.

Celebrity has no ships home ported in Puerto Rico anymore.
Looks like Millie will be doing the winter Caribbean cruises from PR in 2023.

I interpreted the announcement to be that Celebrity has a range of options for Celebrity tours. The notice doesn’t say you can DIY in ports.I posted a link above from an article that states what I originally posted. It says that passengers will be allowed to disembark on their own in addition to Celebrity offered excursions.
-
I KNEW I read it somewhere! This article states that passengers can explore on their own, but that Celebrity will also offer sponsored excursions!
Celebrity will cruise this summer from St. Maarten for vaccinated guests: Travel Weekly

Was surprised to read that you will be allowed off the ship to do as you please, not tied into a cruise line only sponsored excursion!
This is great news going forward! We're all vaxed and hopefully looking forward to our Reflection cruise in Jan!
*UPDATE* I know I read the above in the first release, I think they may have changed it since I first saw it.
I c&p this from the article, so my above info is probably wrong
Celebrity will offer a range of curated tours for all interests and price points at every port of call. Private Journeys and Small Group Discovery Tours will also be available for those guests preferring to explore the destinations with only members of their family or traveling companions.

You can get your own private hot tub by booking a Royal Suite or higher, just sit on your balcony, sip drinks from your own private bar and take a dip in your own hot tub anytime you want and do it with the fellow passengers only you invite!
The “hot tubs” on the balconies of the higher end suites are not really a hot tub. They are oversized jetted bathtubs that are suitable for one person to fit comfortably.
-
So with this new “all inclusive” has anyone heard if the higher end suites still keep the other amenities like stocked mini bar, 2 bottles of liquor for the suite and unlimited speciality dining?
-
We enjoyed the Hyatt Place 17th St also. It is within walking distance to a big shopping center with a Publix and several restaurants that were great for breakfast, an Outback located just up the street and a lovely Italian restaurant right next door (name escapes me right now)
Rooms were very comfortable and clean and the hotel had a nice little pool area.
-
Can’t even get Celebrity to put a ship in Bayonne for winter cruises to the Caribbean!
(I’d be on it every year!)
I doubt they would commission a ship for a world cruise!

What are options in mini bar? Is liquor included or just beer , water and soda. I was really surprised to get a call from concierge about 3 weeks before cruise since we were in a celebrity suite, I thanked him but said we were fine. I know on rccl normally got call about 5 days before.
Included in Royal Suites or higher are two bottles of liquor plus mixers. You can tell the shoreside concierge your choices and they should be in your suite when you arrive.
As far as the mini fridge, it is beer, soda and water, which you can also request your preferences. These items are replenished by your butler as you use them.

We have sailed in the PH several times with the pianos, IMHO, a huge waste of space. For us, they are where we keep our sunglasses and I line up what we need to put in my purse/ hubbys pockets when we are heading out for dinner and our evening!
