Slightly off subject, but whenever your boarding time is, are the rooms ready and can you start unpacking? Also, how does Cunard handle the mustard drill with such late boarding times? Thanks

I have never been contacted in a Sky Suite.

Hi Jim,
I live in Fort Myers and it is beautiful here today. You could fly in Regional Southwest (RSW) and drive to port in a rental. It is about a 3 hour drive. Just a thought.

Got my refund yesterday, so about a week after I called the engagement desk - 844-418-6824.

I called Celebrity today and they said I have to call my Travel Agent to get the Quarantine refund even though the letter X gave me said they would send out the refund in 7 - 14 days. What a waste of time - I could have called my TA on day 2 and got the process going. All they would have had to do is put in the letter to contact your TA to get the refund process going. Maybe this method allows X to keep your money longer.
I did have a travel agent but Celebrity handled everything and never mentioned getting my TA involved. Typical Celebrity information.

My refund for 8 days of quarantine was due today. I called yesterday, was transferred twice and finally got a very helpful person. There was no record of anything being done for a refund. She sent an e-mail to the Engagement Center with the details of our quarantine dates and a copy of the letter I was given on-board stating a refund would be given for the days in quarantine. She sent this not only to the department but also two supervisors in the department. Today I got a call from Celebrity. They are making the refund to my credit card, which I had to confirm the number, name on the card and expiration date. I was told that I should receive the credit in 2-3 weeks. If not, I was given a reference number to follow-up. While my husband did not test positive at first, when they retested on day 6 of quarantine, he was also positive. They paid for all 8 days of him being in quarantine with me. If the other person in the room left the room for another room, I do not think they would be reimbursed as they still were able to enjoy the whole cruise. The credit was for both of us for the whole 8 days. I calculated the credit by taking the total paid minus options, divided by 12 (number of days in the cruise) then multiplied by 8 (number of days in quarantine). I was under by a little less than $200 so I am thinking it they gave back some of the taxes and fees.
I would suggest that if you are due a refund, call the Engagement Center at 844-418-6824 and get the ball rolling.

Our cruise also ended on August 31 and my husband and I were quarantined for 8 days. The letter I was given about the refund says 7-14 business days. Because there was a holiday in there, I should hear back by the 22nd at the latest. I have not heard anything yet.

Does anyone knows where Uber and Lyft pick up at Black Falcon Cruise Terminal. I understand cabs are Also abundant.
Recommendations??
It is not easy to find where they pick up. Exit the terminal and go left. The building across the street is a design center with construction going on. You need to go around the design center building to the front of it. From the terminal, cross the street, and go left. Turn right on the first street, walk the short block and then turn right again You will be at the front of the design center. There are stopping spots on the street as well as an additional driveway right in front of the building. Our Uber driver did not know where to go. We waited on the corner where there was a pull off. Unfortunately, he came from the right to left, entered the driveway in front of the building, exited there and again crossed the street going left. We flagged him down and he had to go up the street and turn around. There were not signs when we were there. Hope this helps.

WOW, crazy.
As a person in that line, the reason was the drink packages were not on the sea pass cards so, after checking that one has the package, a sticker was applied to the sea pass card. When I was in line that was why everyone was there.

We were in S1 6145 on Summit and the magnets don't work on the walls but do on the ceiling. We use them on the ceiling to hang the heavy robes they provide in the suites. On the walls where the magnets work they tend to slide down with heavy articles.
Agree, we were in a SS suite in May and the only place the hooks worked was on the ceiling. I did not try in the bathroom.

We used Rusty Rover Tours about 4 years ago. However, it appears that he may no longer be in business. Great tour, though!

Even if they were to stop pre-cruise testing, some countries still require it, at least at present. Canada being one, which effects most Alaska cruises.

Nearly all the walls and ceilings in the cabins on every ship are steel. It is a matter of how thick the vinyl coating (think industrial wallpaper) they put on the steel is, and how strong your magnets are. Likely if the above poster had used rare earth magnets, they would have found they work everywhere in the cabin. It is just how much trouble you want to go to.
Interesting that I did use these magnets and they did not work:

I think it depends on the ship and the room. We were on the refurbished Summit in a Sky Suite. None of the walls were magnetic. When they refreshed the room, they put some type "wall" over all the vertical walls, and this was not magnetic. The only place magnetic was the ceiling and cabin door. However, it was a B2B cruise, and we moved for the second cruise to an aft balcony. Part of the room was covered in the non-magnetic walls, but part wasn't allowing us to use our magnetic hooks.
If it is a cruise ship that has yet to be updated, you are fine. If it is an "E" class ship you are probably fine although I have never been on one of these ships, so do not know for sure. If it is an updated ship, you may find magnetic walls.

You might want to research this. I believe there are no roads in/out of Juneau.

It won't be cold inside the ship so should be fine for dinner.

Desk has a lighted mirror that is lower than the SS and desk is larger with 3 deeper drawers and three shelves. Still no make-up mirror in either room. Hairdryer is in the bathroom with us plug.
Chair is more comfortable and fits under the desk.
Opposite desk in small seating area and the same table as in the suite. I have the table by the nightstand where it is out of the way and fits great.

The bathroom is much more functional than the suite with shelves by the sink and to the right below the sink, bright lights, nightlight, grab bar in shower clothes line, and a different shower head with much better water pressure. Same products as the suite- which are Bigelow. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioner take up all the holder space so you may want to bring something to hold your stuff like the one I attached (Amazon I think) with a magnetic hook.
door opens inward and shower is not large so some may have issues with this. Foot rest in corner.

12 night Norway and Arctic Circle on Apex with Pre- Cruise in the New Forest ( maybe live!)
in Celebrity Cruises

I am so happy you are doing a live on this cruise. I had to cancel this cruise about 6 weeks ago because of husband illness. I was so excited about it and had planned for the last 18 months. Even though I am sad to miss it, I am looking forward to cruising Norway and the Artic through you. Thanks for doing this!
