Marriott Biscayne to POM is about a 5-10 minute ride (you can see the port from the hotel!) - that's where I would use Uber or a cab. Enjoy the limo on the longer ride from FLL to your hotel.
5 adults & 1 child - 8 suitcases, 5 carry-on & personal items.....need our own vehicle.

TY - that is great information to know!

Also, if there is a Burlington Coat Factory by you - check them out also - will definitely be cheaper than renting.

Would be very surprised if they charge a fee for registered guests...Heck...we've had packages delivered to our hotel in Shanghai...no charge.
Surprised the heck out of me when I had to pay a $25 fee for a UPS package.

Got the quote from Larry's - hotel (Marriott Biscayne Bay) to Port - 5 adults / 1 child in a booster seat was $148.90.
Also got a quote from Larry's - FLL to hotel (2 adults / 1 child) $190.
We went ahead and book from hotel to port, but will use Uber for FLL to hotel.

Check w/ hotel - sometimes they charge a fee to accept packages.

Happy to help, neighbor. Way back in the stone ages I lived in VA Beach - fun town!
TYVM!!! Love VB - except on holiday weekends! Just wish we had a better selection of cruise ships leaving from Norfolk (right now only Carnival) during Fleet Week.

Seriously - call your CC company - I was able to get some travel related refunds that I charged 18 months previously. The worst your CC company can do it say no.

TY - never knew about inflatable booster seats - awesome!!!!!
and TY about Larry's Limo service for FLL to MIA!
-
Hi FL experts! I'm arranging the transportation for our upcoming family cruise (Symphony 10/2). Within the MIA area I am going to use the highly recommended Larry's Limo service to get everyone from the hotel to the port. BUT, have son, wife & 4 year old flying into FLL on 10/1. I need to get them from the airport to our hotel in MIA (dependable & economical). Need a booster seat for the 4-year old. What service would you recommend?
AND, return from port to FLL - what service would be best (w/ booster seat)?
ALSO, if I use Uber or Lyft in MIA (going out to dinner)...does anyone know if I can request a booster seat when I reserve the vehicle?
Thank you so much!//Maria

Congratulations!!! Enjoy the JS - you are going to be spoiled w/ the space!

Weird - just happened to us. DH & I have same check in but son (sharing cabin w/ us) has different check in time (hour later). Other son & family (all linked reservations) has yet a different check in time.

Just now ordered a 2 pack from Optum site, not out of stock at this moment.
That is super great news - seems like these 2 companies (emed & Optum) are really on top of things - great customer service, fast shipping, quality product, etc. Wouldn't it be nice if all businesses were like that! Thank you for the update!

Just ordered via emed (6 pack). My friend went to order on the Optum site "OUT OF STOCK" (both 2 pack & 3 pack as of 8/28/21).....needless to say I am very thankful and now less stressed knowing my kit is ordered well before I will need it.

When would be the best time to purchase the test kits - our cruise leave Oct 2nd (take test on Sep 29th)? I've been reading there is a shortage of test kits and sure as heck want to have them on hand for our pre-cruise testing. Would I be OK purchasing the kits now or should I wait a week or so? TIA!//Maria

Yes, the deluxe package. I thought the discussion was the refreshment package?
Great Catch!
Refreshment package - NON-alcoholic coffees only.
Deluxe Beverage package - can have alcoholic coffee (i.e. Irish Coffee, Capts Call, etc.)

WoW!!!! I'm speechless - the only time I get bacon is on vacation. Bacon at breakfast is something I savor (use to have it a lot, but since DOH had severe medical issues that cherished meat product is no longer kept in our house).

There should be a separate line for suites when getting back on the ship in ports....just walk up to the suite line & show your card.
