  1. A mini-suite in not suite in the sense that you don't get any of the suite perks, like butler, early boarding, priority seating at shows, etc. From what I understand the room and balcony are a bit larger, not much and there is a bathtub, not just a shower. You made a good choice. You and your friend are going to have a great time.

  2. I am looking at possibly downgrading my aft penthouse on deck 10 to a mini suite. Hubby is no longer coming on this cruise so it will just be my 14 year old daughter and I. And yes, I do know that there will be no suite perks with the downgrade. It's about $800 less so it may make sense. My question/concern is- noise! Anyone have and good recs for which mini suite would have the least amount of noise. All the mini suites are on deck 11 and the 2 pools and garden cafe are on deck 12. I am also a bit concerned about motion so going too far forward,( like under the meeting rooms) might be an issue. Any thoughts or advise would be great. Thanks!!

  3. Sailng in June with my 14 year old daughter on the Dawn. I have been scouring the web looking at what little pics/video there is of our cabin, corner aft penthouse balcony deck 10. Honestly it doesn't seem that much bigger than a regular balcony cabin. I know that there are other perks with this suite and the balcony is larger, but I'm really just asking about the cabin itself. Is it worth the extra cost?

Also this will be our first cruise and we are both a little concerned about getting sea sick. We will totally take meds but wondering about the aft cabin and movement.

    Any advice would be great.

  4. Hi Sherri, I'm usually more of a lurker than a poster but I just had to say how much I loved your both of your reviews.

I think our daughters must be related. Mine is 12 1/2, is tall with same color hair as Mickey, LOVES to read, is DYING to go on a cruise and HATES sand in her swim suit (which seems to happen anytime she goes to the beach).

You two seem like a great pair. Thanks for sharing your adventures with all of us.

  5. This is my first time posting on this board, though I have been lurking for months.

Such a great review. You sound like an awesome mom to me, with a very full plate. Any mom who would take her 3 kids on the biggest ship in the world, by herself, even though those said kids might be a bit of a challenge from time to time and even tough she might not have the best sense of direction, which would cause many people not to ever travel alone, and for the sake of her kids put herself in a situation that may temporarily derail her weight watchers journey. That mom gets an A+ in my book, in case your interested!!

    Can't wait for the rest.
