  1. Too long. Still have to rely on count down clock.
  2. Too funny... I just posted the same info on our Roll call! We saved $300.00 per person. That will either pay for our airfare or add my mom if she decides to join us!
  3. Who really cares how old people are. I started sailing HAL when I was 19 years old. Sailed other lines with my family and always find myself coming back to them. Oh... I'm now 51 and DH is 50
  4. This is true. No ship tour on the Westerdam. Just returned from the March 18 and when I asked they said they haven't offered tours since Sept 11.
  5. Cruise Director is Dan Bernbach
  6. We did the Southern loop. We did a great tour with Bully in Aruba. He has a large van that accomodated 5 of us. Not sure if I can give you his email address here but here is a link to a thread that has his info: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=606744&highlight=bully go to post #7 Yes they did Karaoke. I have all of the Daily Explorers. If you can wait till Monday, I am off of work and can scan them and send them to you if you wish or I can figure out how to post them here.
  7. Snow is forcast here too!!! Glad you enjoyed your cruise too!
  8. We booked a Panama Canal on the Zuiderdam for March of 2012 while on board. But we probably will change it to 2013 due to finances. Last year DH took a pay cut and I got laid off in November. Finally got a new job beginning of March. Thank goodness our Westerdam cruise was paid already and I got a good boss to let me take a week off so soon!
  9. Went to bed last night...no turndown service, no candy on my pillow, no towel critter. Had to make my own breakfast this morning. Now I'm back at work. Reality stinks. Must cruise again soon! Just back from the Westerdam any questions I'll try to answer them.
  10. Bon Voyage everyone. Keep that ship in "dam" good shape... We board next Week!!!!:D See you then canadarocks!!! Lynn
  11. I am a long time cruiser, taking my first cruise on HAL's Rotterdam in 1979, celebrating my 20th birthday. I had just finished my first year of working a "real job" after graduating H.S. and was entitled to my first paid vacation. Saw an ad in my AAA newsletter about a 7 day cruise. Cut it out and sent in my deposit. Had no idea at all what I was doing. Caught a bus out of Bridgeport, CT to NYC and took a 7 day Bermuda/Bahamas cruise on my own. My mom thought for sure that I would chicken out travelling on my own. Boy, did I surprise her! Had a BLAST. Did 4 cruises in a row until marriage beckoned! Took 12 years to convince my DH that this was the way to travel (he was in the navy and didn't want to spend vacations on a ship). Have done 2 Carnival cruises, 1 HAL cruise and 3 RCCL cruises over the past few years with our whole family including DD (Nicole). DD daughter is now off and married with her own DS, and are now enjoying travel childless!
  12. Happy Birthday!!!:D You're lucky... We're in triple digits right now. Enjoy your cruise!
  13. Please add: wvdreamer– Westerdam – 18 Mar 11 – Southern Caribbean
  14. Well I guess I'm number 3:D. I don't even have a facebook page. I use my husband's to post pictures of our grandson to share. Other than that I don't really use it. I don't think everyone needs to know what I am doing in my life! He never uses it at all. We only got it we could see pictures of our grandson!!!
