I would say the rccl in a balcony room. But if you don't want to spend the money on it then I guess the carnival. I would rather have a balcony. I also should say my Caribbean Vacation is all about relaxing in the sun don't care at all about the ports.

Don't know the dawn but if it has haven like epic I would book the suite. Also depends on the suite itself on carnival a suite is just not worth it. Same balcony size well width unless you just want or need bigger room

I will be sailing the magic on may 7 2016. Very excited sure it will be great. I've sailed carnival a lot and don't have ridiculous expectations of the magic so. This is not to say I think it will be bad but just that it will be carnival

I've been to Disney world before and I don't remember it being a cruise. I can get season pass to six flags for way less than a cruise. What's the point?
-
We have a vacation suitcase that's packed. We get free wash and fold service so everything clean and bagged from the last vacation.

I can agree it use to be organized I don't have a problem with fttf except for the fact that it has massively delayed platinum/diamond. Fttf should be boarded second and probably have a different checkin area.

I thought Carnival was supposed to go out of business when they changed the balcony smoking policy. ;)
No its because they removed lobster on short cruises. 😉

You can also buy in ports the ship only carriers American cigarettes but in ports there many other brands. If you buy cigars they can't be identified as Cuban(don't believe any trade policies and changed just yet)

You're crazy. Going on the Vista TA.....13 nights for $800. Where will I ever get a two week land based for that.
Thank you. Don't know where everyone else is doing there research. In some cases prices have went up a little but still $300-$700 less than other lines (I've only priced balcony rooms so I'm not sure about other rooms)

Elevators do not provide any noise, people do.
Don't remember on the breeze but that's not true was on glory last January by the elevator had to switch to that room if we wanted same room for b2b but all night you would hear ding. Ding. It didn't bother me cuz I can sleep through anything but...

I always try to book flights around 10 am always worked for us. Could be delays but they are almost always to Miami super early in the morning
-
Please don't hide on the ship those of us doing b2b want to get back on quickly 😆. Spend the day in Miami Beach while you're on the ship if you're airline has the option the cruise ship will send your luggage straight to the airport is costs a little but might be worth it
-
Well I'm only going to book 6 days or longer now so there good luck trying to fill the 5 or less day cruises suckeres! ;)

Maybe it's just me, but all I can think about when everyone is spinning their napkins in the MDR is crumbs flying EVERYWHERE! Rather than spin my napkin, I duck and cover! INCOMING! MUST PROTECT CHOCOLATE MELTING CAKE!
It's just you

We do most of our sailing in the winter because it's cold
Don't think it matters much but we don't have kids either
-
Depends on what you consider good food we didn't think the Steakhouse was any better than the Mdr and the Mdr isn't great but some rave about it so yep if you haven't done it give it a try.

Length, month and location all play a factor go when young people are in school

We felt the same way we actually went to some islands we had never been to before because of that. Carnival can't do anything about hurricanes so if you book in the season expect changes. I think it's fun pot luck cruising
-
I think it is a problem maybe nicely talk to them I know this may not work but they say the penalty is $250 cleaning fee so if it's reported and I would get charged would be smoking out there the whole cruise. I personally try to accommodate non smokers as best I can especially if you talk to me about it.

Hello we've done b2b before but always on the same ship this January we are sailing Splendor jan10(which is the ship we got married on) and Conquest jan17 does anyone know if they consider that b2b(seeing if I can get my fruit basket and champagne lol) also does anyone know if the cruise lines will provide transportation from Miami to ft Lauderdale.
-
It depends I always use to get calls about upgrading but we always book the same room (location) on every ship. Which is way more important to me I agree with people that said other lines have way suite(er) options
-
Yep I wish I lived so close to a port my flight and hotel stay is generally more than the cruise
So I would just use the nearest port
-
Did it seem like a super great price because I just booked a cruise on rccl and I thought it was what I wanted and it looked like there had been a price drop right after I booked it I realized it wasn't the sailing I wanted and canceled it. Maybe you selected the wrong room type on accident

That's great to hear.

Always go to and from airport in stretch limo and on the way home we always stop for our favorite pizza.
