Alexandra, so very much agree with you regarding the infinite balconies.  We were on a Caribbean cruise shortly after cruising opened up after Covid ( 600 passengers, 800 crew, no crowds in the Oceanview cafe!) on the Apex.  We also thought great “balcony” for the Baltics, Iceland, etc. but really missed a real balcony in the Caribbean. Also agree it’s you about the bathroom locks.  Have traveled often to Europe and have always loved the European locks with the red and green.  Can’t wait to hear about your husband’s reaction to the retreat.  Enjoy the rest of your journey.

We were on the Summit this past Sept and they often added an entree onto the printed menu that was not on apt.

I do think food quality ( as well as variety) does need to be addressed.  My husband always had the rack of lamb on formal night and loved it.  On our Eclipse cruise this past May, it was replaced with some type of sliced lamb and totally inedible, full of fat and grizzle.  Our waiter replaced it but the same.  We have been very loyal Celebrity cruisers for over 20 years and I always told people to take a cruise with Celebrity as the food was exceptional. Now I would be embarrassed.  Hopefully quality as well as varsity improves.  
 

So very much enjoying your review.  We were supposed to spend five days in Rome last fall between cruises ( have been there once before) but husband needed back surgery and had to cancel 😢 so really loved and appreciated all your amazing photos! Can’t wait for the rest of your review.

I was very sick several years ago and was treated at the medical center on the ship in Europe. The bill was less than I expected ( and I had an IV, medication, etc) and our medical advantage insurance reimbursed me for almost all the of the cost.  Hopefully you will receive an antibiotic and you will recover quickly.

That’s pretty windy.  Our stop at Prince Edward’s Island was cancelled back in Sept due to the so we stayed an extra day in Quebec.  By the time we reached the open sea, things had calmed down.

So those were MDR menus and photos you posted?  Looks amazing.

Do you dine in the MDR or a different one with your mini suite?  Thanks.

The team should go on a ship and not let them know so treated like regular cruisers in the MDR to experience the typical experience. 

Your photos of the falls were wonderful. So glad you took the boat trip, such fun!  Enjoying all your bird photos ( as a fellow bird lover). What lines are you doing your Galapagos and Antartica cruises on ( don’t want to miss another Ken review)?

Oh we also did a food tour in Rome a few years ago.  Fantastic!

So looking forward to following along with you once again.  Would love to see photos of your walking shoes.  Also review of Iberian airlines as were flying to Barcelona next fall for a cruise on the Accent.  Thanks.

Brent Nixon, the naturalist who was on the Hawaiian cruise, gave a wonderful talk on the northern lights. Fingers crossed you get to view them. 

Looking forward to another Ken review. We recently did NE/Canada on the Celebrity Summit. Québéc is wonderful!  I hope you do get to see the northern lights.  It was too cloudy during our cruise.

I hope they are able to enjoy the cruise in two weeks.  Terrible experience.

Dinner at Eden looks yummy. We’re booked for Eden next Sept on the Ascent.   What did you order?

Oh and the blueberry pie at the West End cafe - delicious!  Make sure you get it scoop of vanilla ice cream to go with it.

If you’re looking for lobster rolls, the I’d recommend the West End cafe in Bar Harbor, right across the street from the tender drop off.  They had a special which we shared with and extra bowl of clam chowder ( also excellent).  Also Dimillos in Portland.  I never had a lobster roll with so much lobster!
