  1. My family has taken a catamaran sail around the island in the past (probably 10 years ago) and I can't seem to find any companies that do it.  Anybody done this recently?  It was an awesome tour with lunch and snorkeling ans we sailed around the entire island of Antigua.

    Thank you,

That's a good idea!   I book through NCL's Casinos at Sea and I know that their staff is overwhelmed now.

I've been trying to be patient, but I might have to give that a try.

That is what i did.  He verified that I had it coming but to wait for the email to book.  Once I got the email. we booked our next cruise.  I would tell them you don't want to miss the extra 20% off offer.  Then when you are ready, call the Casinos at Sea to book it, or keep the planner for the next cruise.

Neither of us has received the Email with the FCC credit amount.

From reading on these boards, everyone else is reporting they HAVE received that email.  Can't figure out why they aren't sending one to us for our cancelled cruise.

Try calling them.  Select the option to book a cruise and tell the person you want to book another cruise but you don't know how much your credit is for!  They can look!

    Ship - Encore

    Deck - 15

    Stateroom # - 15866

    Stateroom Category – B9

Starboard or Port Side - starboard side

Quiet Stateroom?  Yes, only noise we heard was early in the morning we could hear setting up noises from upstairs in the spa. It wasn’t bothersome at all.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom?  No

Balcony View -  Excellent balcony. Even on our very very stormy and choppy transatlantic we were able to use the balcony every day. There is a large overhang, so protected from rain and wind from above. It is an angled balcony facing towards the back of the ship, so even in high winds at full speed, when the outer decks were closed and walking was difficult due to waves and wind, there was minimal breeze on the balcony.

    Balcony Size?  Larger angled balcony

    Was wind a problem?  No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem?  Only one day did we notice any soot, it seemed to get trapped under the overhang on our only calm day at sea, with high speeds to make up for lost travel time due to the storms

Any specific problems with this cabin?  The only issues we had were a whistle sound from inside the bathroom that was only apparent when the bathroom door was ajar. Closing the door made it way less audible. second issue was an enormous rattle the 2nd to last night that required staff go into the ceiling outside our cabin at nearly midnight to fix. We got immediate response from guest services and was fixed in a few hours. Not sure what it was, but with the storms, likely something knocked loose.

Any other comments?   Great location. Just a quick jaunt upstairs to the spa right overhead. A lovely walk to the bar/observation lounge for snacks, coffee, drinks. Close to elevators. We were next to the 3 Haven spa suites and not sure if this is the norm, but our steward we shared only with those 3 haven rooms. So while we didn’t have the butler or the haven, our steward was always available and TOP NOTCH, and he only had the 4 staterooms to service.

Awesome!  I am booked in this cabin for April 2021.  Thank you!!

OK, I’m searching for the clarification info on this and can’t seem to locate it. If I have this right, I can cancel my May 17 booking, take the FCC, book another before April 11th, and then they will take another 20% off the fare (fees, taxes not included) when its booked (not shown on online final price) and you apply your FCC?

I wanted to make sure I have this right before I wait on hold and call. Thanks!

Yes you can.  I booked last night, got 30% off for the sale, plus another 20% off.  The discount is only on the cruise fare.  I was able to book a 4 day longer cruise, in a Spa balcony, for $250 less!

But call your PCC and be sure.

I had booked what would have been my third NCL cruise for 4/8/2020 on the Pearl going to the Panama Canal over five months ago.

Of course it was cancelled, I certainly understand that. I appreciated their offer of future cruise credits with the 25% plus 20% deal.  After looking at the Panama Canal

trip scheduled in November it would have been $100s more! Not a bargain.

I decided I wanted my original money back.

Had to wait till today to fill out the form.

The website said it will take them 90 days to return my money. Why? They have had it for over 5 months. I want it back now.

I called their customer service line this morning and was on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up. Called back and said I wanted to book a new cruise, got a representative immediately. I explained that I wanted my money back sooner than 90 days and she hung up.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE NCL FOR ANYTHING!!!

So I too was booked on the Pearl.  I just booked last night a 15 day Panama Canal Cruise next April on the Encore and with the 125%, plus the sale today and the extra 20% off, I am upgrading my room PLUS have an extra $240 in credit once it is paid.  Maybe you should look again at cruises for next year!

I am very happy with the way NCL handled my FCC.

  7. I cruised Hawaii last February and we didn't get to Port in Maui due to weather. They had 150mph winds on top of Mount Haleakala and 60 ft seas on the North Shore of Oahu. I was disappointed to spend 2 days at sea instead of Maui but you can't control Mother Nature! We will just have to return to Maui in the future 😊

The "trolley" seats didn't appeal to me either and why I booked directly with ANP...comfortable padded seats....and a discount for lunch at Testa's.

Lunch at Bar Harbor has plenty of great options...I wouldn't book just because of an included lunch...but hope you enjoy what you've decided will work for you.

Our next trip there in October (Snowbird RCI cruise) we've booked with some roll call member's with At Your Service...this tour sounds great and we're looking forward to it and another chance to visit this amazing little town.

I know it is early, but when you return in October, can you post how the cruise was?  i am booked for mid October 2020 (yes, forever from now) and was reading how a lot of the stores and such are closed down for the season.  I am wondering if we made a mistake booking so late?  I have been on the same itinerary 10 years ago the first week of October with no issues. TIA.

  9. Second for Capt Steve on Maui. We live there and have been in many- Capt Steve is most likely the best and a local favorite. The boats are smaller and you see a lot. He has a knack for finding whales even on slower days out there.

Thank you. Local input is my favorite!

  10. Aloha! We will be cruising Hawaii for the first time with NCL in February 2019 and would like to whale watch. Which island and tour is the favorite? Looking for less crowded, not necessarily the cheapest. I have been to Alaska multiple times and seen humpbacks up close and personal as a scuba diver but I do love marine life.

    Appreciate any and all input!
