We had a sv cabin on the 7th deck on the solstice in late 2014 ,no problems with soot and the cabin stewards checked everyday,they can be opened to next door and what a brilliant view especially on leaving places,only problem is a longish walk from the lifts,but my legs are old, enjoy book it !!!!!

What caught fire on the balcony ?,was it personal things ?

If it's such a chore getting in there why have it ?? we did'nt get in on my 30/1/16 trip on Reflection,a disappointment but in telling us they made a big big point in how much negotiations took place !! but now i find it's quite regular that it's missed so why the big build up to explain ? Made us think !! Seriously thinking of giving Celebrity a miss in future.(Web site rubbish as well)

Contacted Rodne at Stevanger online, the times suit !! for a 10 am trip when we arrive at 9am,only a 10 minute walk to get their boat,so even allowing for the Celebrity tours getting off first !! Half the price of the Celebrity tour.

We have had three different Cc numbers with no information each time ,when asked why they blamed my TA ,after speaking to them three times in one morning they were going to get back to us ....that was eight days ago,still no explanation ...hopeless ...forget it !!!

Before our recent cruises i requested them by post twice,never came !! as you hand your luggage to porterson dock they will write them for you and put them on !!To ask celebrity to do things beforehand is a waste of time,thank god once aboard they know exactly what they are doing !! which is more than you can say about Celebrity admin !!!!

Want to go on this trip,can't find any recent reviews,my questions are: will independents be running to the fjord in early may 2016 ? names of firms and prices would be helpful to enable us to book etc.Thanks

Just off Reflection,we had select dining and found it a complete waste of time ! First night could'nt book the time we wanted only two slots offered 6.45 or 8.15.Second night just turned up and had to wait 25 mins as they were "busy".So we changed to the 6.15 time and therefore knew were we were !! Won't do select again...to hit and miss for us !!

We also just returned from Reflection,we also found that the menu in the MDR was poor,beef items were very nice but not every night !!.Been on Eclipse AND Solstice twice and found they were much better.Shows were not up to scratch either,the resident dancers etc were very good,rest not so good.Don't know if this is just on Reflection or Celebrity fleet in general.

Also !!! what a complete shambles the Celebrity online site is,and Captains Club not much better !!.Given up on both !!!!

For anybody who wants to know !! just off Reflection and i got my obc ( given to me by celebrity) out using the casino 5% route.

The refundable obc (bought by me) was a bit more difficult,the "customer service people" on three seperate occastions told me three different stories,even told me to get it from casino (minus 5% for my own money !!).

I know that celebrity site is a complete mess but i did'nt expect to have problems with the customer service team.

The reports on C/c re NOT getting non refundable obc did'nt happen to me !!!:)

It was last year but i seem to remember it as $2.40.I found the soda package value for money !!!:)

Is OBC bought from Celebrity online as a "gift" refundable from guest relations without any charge ?.

jveevers. Same happened to me,I found if you did'nt put res No and went onto website ordered your money THEN put res No to complete the deal it worked .

Pay a proper rate for the job ,adjust the price of the cruise accordingly,problem solved !! if you can afford the "new" price you go if not you don't.

But then it wouldn't be the same without the argument between north Americans/Canadian's and people who grew up in different counties without the tipping culture,I.E ME !!

On Eclipse in June,I started off at 16 6,finished at 17 stone (238 ib) had no problems.ENJOY.:)

Help please.Does anyone know if celebrity at Miami organises anything at the end of the cruise to take up the time of disembarking and late flight home ?.

Hi Jackie and Adrian. We are on the Eclipse in September, on Deck 6 Starboard side, mid ships and would appreciate hearing from you after your cruise as to how much of a nuisance this work is causing. Thank you.

We were on eclipse in June deck 8,port mid ship to aft never heard a thing !!!!

just check carefully when you get back that you have been credited with the proper number of points. We once paid for an upgrade on board and you wouldn't believe what i had to go through to get the extra captains club points!!!

We upgraded on a recent eclipse cruise in june 15,not been awarded the extra points despite an email (not answered 3 weeks) and two phone calls !! "waiting for Miami".I paid for the upgrade at the price they asked !! I should get the points !!.

The celebrity website is a joke and it looks to me that celebrity for the sake of cc points are a penny pinching outfit !! if I could get my deposit back (as in the usa) I would cancel the two cruises booked for 2016.

You can telephone celebrity and do it over the phone.Or log in to celebrity,click all ready booked,click gifts on board,then onboard credit.

At the mo it's £16.80 for 25$ approx. 1.49 to the £.

Yorkshire pud was quite right,you need to watch this, in may I got 1.67$ to the £.Enjoy your cruise !

I booked a cruise whilst on-board and was told that if my plans change can phone and change the cruise.

I tried to do this yesterday and was told that I would lose the OBC and Bev pack perk. I could however cancel and book a new cruise and get any current offers.

 

Is this correct advice? Seems a shame I can't keep my perks.

I have just returned from the eclipse and booked for next sept 16,got the 3 perks and was told that I could change to my ta OR leave it open to change to another ta of my choice BUT that had to happen within 30 days from the date of the onboard booking.Also got a $200 obc for the cruise I was on.The new ta has offered a £100 each reduction.
