  1. Sounds like a great idea. Let's overload Cagney's with people who did not pay for the perk. I bet it will make those that did pay real happy....

Well you can always do what the same as a women on a US flight did these week. She had paid for an "extra legroom seat" and caused a huge scene because someone was moved to an extra legroom seat for free once on board because us TV monitor wa not working. The plane was diverted and she was arrested on landing lol!!!

Seriously why woud anyone want to pay twice, because that's what you Wed have to do when booking the same person in 2 cabins!!

  2. We stayed over the night of disembarkation and flew out the next day.. This was in Nov this year, in other words, fewer cruise passengers at FCO. EVEN keeping this in mind, we had a long walk inside terminal to get to check in (yes, dropped off with private service). There were bottlenecks all over - ticketing, passport control... Passports checked again, a cleaning strike so trash all over, disorganization at the gate etc.

i certainly would not want the stress at the end of a nice cruise of worrying about making my flight. WHAT IF you don't ...disembark on time ... Find all your luggage... Find the driver ... Or ...Get stuck in traffic ... Encounter an accident ...have issues or encounter strikes at the airport? You absolutely need to be at the ticket counter 2 hours before your flight... So taking everything into consideration... You need to make your decision.

  3. Being in the hotel business i woul be Very Mad if someone posted "bed bugs at ALG hotel" ? Because it names an establishment/company and does not clarify the issue

("I've never heard any issue of bed bugs on cruise ships - has anyone else?")

A couple of years ago a local paper in my small town ran a similar "catch" headline. It stated in the article that the establishment did not have them and had been inspected, but the headline was enough to catch people's eye and nearly shut own the business.

YOUR luggage could unknowingly be transporting the little buggers right into the cabin ....

  4. If I bought art through the "manager" because he was offering a BEST PRICE GUARANTEE, yes, I would be angry with him/her

The issue here isn't NCL's pricing. The issue is that they offer a guarantee that is misleading. Yes, it's all spelled out in their disclosure (in vague terms), but if other companies did marketing in a similar fashion, there would be hell to pay.

"They" do not offer a guarantee that is misleading. "They" state their guarantee. The BUYER did not read or understand properly.

  5. There is a difference between a "group" (people who know each other traveling together and "group rates" which really should be called bulk rates or block rates. The travel agent has a "bulk rate" because the cruise line expects them to sell a certain number of cabins. This "bulk rate" may be lower than NCL, and in addition you may see a group "code" on some travel documents or reservation, this is because you are part of "bulk" pricing.

You can have your "own group" of people traveling together for which you may or may not be eligible for "group" benefits, depending on the number of cabins you are booking. Whether or not you are considered a "group" on your own, you may still be part of a group/block/bulk rate given to the TA

Please be aware of the difference between the 2

I agree with the other poster, you have a choice, you can book through NCL and get their rates and services and be able to contact them directly, or you can book through a Travel Agent and get their rates and services, and all your communication will need to be through them. Your choice

  6. We were a party of 2 and ate there 3 times on the last cruise. You don't have to grill your own steaks, they will do it for you, so the thought of "paying extra" to grill your own steak should not be an issue, you are paying for a specialty restaurant if you chose to dine in one. The lamb was excellent and they also have fish. The pizza as well as well as the main course was too much for 2 of us, and we were so full after it that dessert was a no no. The salad bar was ok but nothing special. Some nights were a little windy so take a wrap or sweater. I can't see that it would close unless there were storms with side winds, yes there are the heavy plastic drapes but i don't thinking woud want to be dining there with heavy wind or rain.

  7. At one time some of the airlines ran programs to combat fear of flying, you may want to see if any still do. Ambien..wonderful but if you are not used to them you may not wake up by the end of the flight. Maybe consider speaking to a psychologist or perhaps a hypnotherapist. Also fill up an iPad, Walkman or iPod with your favorite songs and take it on board with a set of headphones... Very calming. Ps Alcohol is NOT recommended!

  8. If this helps, I just came back from the infinity, bought the premium alcoholic package and had no problem sharing it with the rest of my cabin mates. In fact, my tablemates talked the waiter into consistently bringing them soft drinks for her husband and best friend. He would bring one for her, and then 5 minutes later bring one for her husband, and then 5 minutes later another one for the best friend. So much for Celebrity's " staff who was specially trained to spot out people who are sharing". Personally, I think its built into the price, they purposefully make it so expensive because they know chances are you'll end up sharing it.

Every time, I ordered a drink I wrote it down and kept a tally on how much I was drinking so that i made sure i got my $$'s worth. I found that for me at least, a basic alcoholic package would have sufficed.

    Hope that helps:D

Wow you boast about this? The beverage package specifically states it is per person and not for sharing. You should be embarassed and the servers should be fired for perpetrating the deception / theft. Because that's what it was.
