Well...you were actually ON the ship when this happened, so I'd guess that you are a better source of information than those of us who were not there.

Five days of crappy coffee has left me with little tolerance for keyboard warriors. So bless your heart.

I heard she was confined to her room for running naked up and down the halls on Deck 9, and she jumped off her deck 9 balcony after they wouldn’t allow her out. A different version had her jumping off deck 6 after threatening a woman in the comedy club with a broken wine glass. A third version was she jumped because she was mad at her significant other.

  2. What a nightmare. I have seen several people faint or nearly faint at a muster drill in the hot Miami sun. I made the mistake of having some alcohol and not enough water at one drill and felt kind of woozy myself. Now I'm cautious about not having a repeat experience. Ironically enough, the muster drill that I felt the worst at was the indoor drill on the Norwegian Escape. They had us in the arcade space and there was nowhere to sit. I ended up sitting on the floor near the bowling area. I just desperately needed some food and water!

Glad you've got a dr. appointment. My issues are always related to dehydration.

  3. After seeing this suggestion on these forums, I always bring the over the door shoe organizer. It holds so much stuff and makes our cabin much tidier! I end up storing all of my hair and makeup items, sunscreen, extra flip flops, and all those other small items that seem to collect on all of the horizontal surfaces. I have this one with mesh pockets. It doesn’t take up much room at all.

  4. We stayed outside the city at the Crowne Plaza Venice East on two different occasions. The train station is right on the doorstep and for a couple of Euros you can take the 25-30min train ride right into Venice. We went in to Venice the day before the cruise and explored, ate, shopped. Then the next day we took the train in again and went over the bridge with our luggage to the people-mover that takes you to the cruise port. The hotel allowed us to keep our vehicle in their lot for the duration of our cruise.

  5. We arranged our own excursions for both of our Mediterranean cruises. The bicycle tour in Barcelona is highly recommended. http://www.fattiretours.com/barcelona/tours/barcelona-city-bike-tour Just be sure to make it to the meeting spot with time to spare or they will give your spots away!

Rome is easy to navigate using the trains and metro. We visited the Vatican, which was amazing. You can skip the giant line if you buy tickets in advance online.

A short cab ride gets you to the old city in Dubrovnik. I agree with the poster who mentioned that walking the wall gets hot, but it's totally worth it! There's a cafe up there where you can grab a cold beer and a bit of shade for a break.

We used the Hop on/hop off bus in Athens. You can buy tickets as you board the bus, and there's a stop not far from the port. Athens was HOT.
