  1. Thanks for sharing this info, but it's my understanding that the beach area where the stingray adventure is conducted is 'roped off' in some way. Anyone else know more specifically about whether I need to make a reservation for myself (although I don't plan to 'pet' the stingrays).

    Thanks!

  2. We've been planning our trip for 2.5 years now and can't believe it's less than two weeks away! This forum has been invaluable to us, and a really nice way to keep the excitement building. We still have one question that I can't seem to find a direct answer to. I'm hoping someone with recent Disney sailing experience can answer this one:

On Castaway Cay, we plan on putting our 3-year-old in the on-island child program temporarily while I go with my wife and two older sons to the Stingray Adventure. We made reservations for my wife and my two sons. I would like to be able to stay on the shore nearby and just take pictures/video. Will they allow this, or am I going to have to pay for me too?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. So, we just did the unusual thing of asking our travel agent to change our seating from the coveted main seating to the 2nd seating on our upcoming double-dip Dream cruise. Based on the way our family works, and our tendency to get a late start to the day while on vacation (breakfast at 9 or 9:30 vs. 7:30 or 8 during the school year), we figured this would work out better for us. We're also all night owls - when we don't have a schedule we're forced to follow, we tend to shift to 7 pm dinners.

I'm wondering what the downside of this might be? I see we now can do the Dine and Play option. We'll be attending the earlier of the two shows, which seems ok. I guess the only thing I'm worried about is whether my kids will fall asleep at 10 pm in the Oceaneers Club (kids are 9, 6, and 3). Will they allow them to just fall asleep (esp. the little one), or will they page us right away? It seems too-good-to-be-true that my wife and I might be able to go out for a drink and relaxation for 90 minutes after dinner every night. Imagine that!

Anything else we should consider after having made the switch? Thanks in advance!

    - David
