Loving this review! Only 10 days now for ours! We've booked 150 CP for our 10th wedding anniversary so glad to hear it's good. Is it ok to get 3 entrees between 2? And/or 3 desserts? There's a few things on the menu we'd find it hard to choose between...

In my experience, using terminals for carnival, NCL and RCI, if you board before 12pm approx there will not be a scanner after security. Worth a gamble on a litre of spirits imo!

Know no one will have done the chef's table on this ship - obviously! But, for those who did it on other ships, how was it? Did you enjoy it? The website says wine not included but I hear tell of free flowing wine. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Alaskan Joe, your wife sounds like me! 😂 My husband kept saying it'll be fine... I wanted to get it sorted.
Anyway, it appears to be sorted. The issue (it seems) was the payment. The travel agent pays in bulk, not for each booking. The cruise is showing now and we are checked in although boarding card not available yet.
I'm confident it'll be ok... I'll be checking periodically to reassure myself.

If you use a TA Carnival won't talk to you, all communications have to be done by a TA.

Now that I think about it, I had to cancel a cruise last year. When I would go to Manage My Booking afterward, it was just no longer there and someone else said that's how it will appear if a booking is cancelled, there is just no more booking to look up. So it sounds like your TA may be correct and it's just a glitch. However, I would get on the phone to be sure. There is also Carnival's email address and mark it URGENT in the subject line. icare@carnival.com

I just called my PVP at Carnival to see if there's a phone number you can use. Did you make full payment? If not that could be the issue since final payment date was around Feb 8th for the TA for Horizon.

Hey,
We managed to get a cabin for the May transatlantic from Barcelona after it appearing sold out.
Our booking showed up on the carnival website but now I am a little concerned as its showing up as "this booking is cancelled" when I go into manage my booking on carnival.co.uk.
I booked through an online travel agent who has assured me all is ok, that it's a system error. I've contacted him again cos I'm really worried. Tried contacting Carnival but no response yet. I have no number to call from Ireland/UK.
This happened to anyone else?

Cabin 6137 exists. Deck 6. It's not a new cabin. Why would you think it doesn't exist when you have it already booked?:confused:
Haha! Sounds odd alright. It's just it doesn't show up on all deck plans and it seemed to show up as a new cabin... was hoping it was new. Ah well.

Agreed with most of the desserts. Some of the bread items in the buffet should be avoided too as they can get v dry.

Hi!
Been on liberty of the sea, NCL Epic and NCL Spirit. I think they are similar in many ways. Considering NCL is cheaper I'm thinking I'd err on the side of NCL. But I would consider food and ship to be similar. Shows on the epic were great. Staff - both ships have great staff and some not so great staff.

We will be on the Epic in April and are thinking of buying the spa pass. Can I bring a cocktail into the spa area does anyone know? I like the idea of having a drink and lying on those heated beds.

I am now on the infinity. We upgraded at a bar and as far as I know only were charged the difference ($57 to $68). At least that's what I was told. Tbh it was v messy. I wasn't given a final bill, only told that his manager would have to put it though. I'm not convinced as yet but it didn't seem worth asking as the bar man didn't seem the most knowledgeable. I'll find out in the next few days I'm sure.

Does anyone know when this new price was announced? I'm sailing tomorrow so even if people in uk and Ireland could pay in advance, I couldn't. I'm wondering if it was announced within 4 days of the 30th?

I did ask that because online it said it was too late to make further purchases due to the proximity of the date of my cruise but they lady on the phone said it just wasn't possible on the phone. I asked at that stage if it was not possible because we were sailing so soon but she said that wasn't the reason.

I give them $5 to $10 in USA or in Europe €3- €5 usually. Know it's not customary but no harm.
