  1. Be sure to make reservations for the evening shows, they check your card before you enter.  Spring for the gelato, its wonderful and a big glop in a small is $3.50.    The calamari on italian night was horrible.  Hopefully it might be better than our was but don't be suprised if it is awful.  Actually the whole italian night menu was not great.  The South Beach pool was nice and no kids allowed.  The elevators are....different.  We just got off yesterday so all this stuff is pretty fresh.

  2. We booked a room last week for Feb 27th, 2025 Explorer from Miami.  There were tons of room available last week and now the balcony and window rooms are sold out.  If there is some sort of convention going on I would like to know.  This is almost 2 years in advance!! Can anyone help me find out ??

  3. Just got off the Connie and was told by the concierge that we don't get wine in the room unless we request it of our room steward.  That is a something new since we always find it there when we arrive.  I guess if new concierge cruisers don't know to request the free wine bottle, the company saves the cost of the wine  ($2.00). lol

  4. My husband is not a big drinker and I don't drink at all.  Other than the Captain Club party are free drinks available to elites around the ship like Royal?  We are leaving on 11/07 and can't it out. The drink package is not worth it for us when we only

    get 3 drinks a day.

  5. Cruises out of New York also have quite a few Russians. Actually we have seen almost every nationality since Bayonne is so close to the international airports. We never know what language we will hear when we enter the elevators. Its quite nice to see the people from all over the world enjoy what we are enjoying.....Another reason to cruise out of NY.

  6. I just got off last weeks cruise too & noted the amount of under 35 year olds had increased. Actually I thought there would be a lot more elderly handicapped people than there were for the size of the ship. I did the same cruise last year too.

As for rude people, I didnt notice anything unusual until disembarcation time when every body was tired, cranky & chomping to get off the ship. New Yorkers have a bad rep but sometimes Europeans can be rude too. Just go with the flow, it should be wonderful!

  7. The fixings are by the omlet station. My husband got a reuben type panini. From what I saw you are better off having a New York deli sandwich in New York or you will be VERY disappointed. The good new is that in the middle of the cruise the LOX comes out at breakfast time, if that you you like.

  8. On the ship now. You have nothing to worry about entertainment wise. I don't like karioki either and find that there are too many things to do at night. The music hall is rocking, boleros is jumping and there are shows to go to. My husband has to drag me to bed at night. You have nothing at all to worry about. It's a great cruise.
