  1. We are also on this sailing. We did Back to the Future yesterday. It is a puzzle room. You get an hour to solve the puzzle and open the door. It was fun, different, and you get a real genuine Royal Caribbean gold medal!! It was not available to book online, but when you get on you can book it where the tables are to book I Fly, North star etc. But you have to ask for it. They offer it 4 times a day, and 14 people can sign up. You can also standby but no one did yesterday and we had 4 empty spots.

It was fun and something different to do. :)

  2. We had cabin 1119 for 2 weeks in February right before it was to go for its facelift. We have had other cabins on deck 11 before and it is so convenient to the elevators and Blu, which we love. However, I like to sit on the balcony at night and they were testing the screen upstairs and it was very loud. I only noticed some bass thumping inside the cabin one night. While I found it annoying, I would not say it ruined our trip. In fact we have booked the Summit again for 4 weeks for our February get away again. The only change I made was to move the cabin further forward!

As far as the balcony goes, it is not covered on these cabins, and there is not any shade to be had if it is sunny! But I still love the location. You can get the aft cabins that do have the shaded and larger balconies, and we have had those too, but we are not aft people! Prefer the port side. Glad that there are choices for us all!

  3. With everything I have read in this thread, why is this still listed under the cabin description of Aqua class cabins??

AquaClass services include: daily delivery of bottled water and tea, priority check-in, express luggage delivery, priority disembarkation based on travel plans, and complimentary shoeshine service. Exclusive access to Blu, a specialty restaurant featuring clean cuisine; that also serves complimentary, full-service breakfast every day. Upgraded room service menu.

This is how it is presented in the cabin descriptions on the agent expresso site! Just wondering if this is fact? If I was telling a client these perks with Aqua class and they did not get them...?? Of course not sure what "clean cuisine is??"

  4. My daughter's oncologist said to use Germ-X when she was going through chemo treatments. Have only used it since, has the bensalkonium chloride in it and no alcohol. At the time searched all over and found it at Sam's Club! This year very excited to find it also at Sam's in Wipes travel size. Take them with us everywhere, and just got off Royal today and no noro for us. There was 2 cases on our floor, near our cabin, but we were lucky. And washed our hands all the time!

  5. I just happened to look at our confirmation from Celebrity and it states right below the money, deposit of 200% required for North American bookings for deluxe suites and is not reflected in the amount required above.

I would think it should be reflected, but it is not!

  6. I only had to put a $900 deposit on a Signature Suite on Reflections for a Transatlantic 10/23/2015. This was a reservation made through an agent. Booked 10/14.

I was just checking and also only put a $900 deposit on a Transatlantic Celebrity Suite for 11/2016. This was also via an agent. Booked 11/14

Really would not have bothered me to put down more as it is often difficult to get a booking in a suite.

We are Elite Plus, I wonder if that makes a difference.

You might want to have your agent check, we are also elite plus and we almost had our last cruise cancelled. Seemed our agent did not realize that the suites needed 200% and only put down the $900. I guess from what they told us, she was using their booking system and for some reason it only requires the standard deposit, but in lower print it says that suites etc. require 200%. So have her/him check so you don't get cancelled! It would not be a good thing!

  7. Ok I have a question, I used one from 2012 to book a 7 day on the Adventure of the Seas for June 6th. All they told me was I had to pay another $100 for the deposit and they gave me $200 OBC and used the WOW BOGO half off deal. So should I have gotten more OBC since it was an old one? I still have 1 more from that old sailing to use. Perhaps I should just save it! I do not buy them anymore because I really forget I have them! Too old to remember !

  8. Hi,

I booked 2 cruises on our last cruise last month. They have the drink package and the OBC. Today with the new promo, I called Celebrity and they changed the booking to the new promo, all inclusive, drinks, gratuities, and OBC AND kept my original OBC. We had to give up the drink package, but it is in the new promo anyway. They told me that an on board booking is combinable with one promo and this is the new one!! So I changed both cruises and I got way more than I had hoped!! :D

Try changing to the new promo, it is well worth it. Cabin prices were the same as before! :)

  9. I just got off the Royal....did not have a cabana, but there are 2 types of cabanas. The ones by the Retreat pool and there are 4 inside the Sanctuary. The ones by the Retreat pool were the $80.00/day and as far as I could tell they were all rented all the time. The ones in the Sanctuary are $130.00 for the day, but they are a little different. They have a ceiling fan, tv (need headphones to listen), a mini bar set up with wine and soft drinks and snacks, sofas, a chair and it includes 2 loungers just in front of the cabana. There were 2 that were rented for the entire cruise and when it rained, they were dry!! Anyone in the Sanctuary can get the picnic basket and there 3 different one to choose from. It was nice, but if you want one get there early! Also the Retreat cabanas are rented by the desk in the sanctuary, that seemed to cause some confusion.

  10. We just got off of the Royal on Sunday, and although we were the first people up to the Sanctuary, all of the week "passes" were gone. They had sold them to the people that were on the back to back. So we had to book day to day. A half day is $15.00 and a full day is $25.00 and the week ( if you can get it) is $120.00. There are 48 loungers, and they sell half as a week. The others you book daily. But there was a change in the booking system. The manager opens the bookings for the next day at 1:00p. So it did make it a little easier than getting up at 7:00a. It seems people were lining up at 5:00a, so he was trying the new method and it seemed to work out better.

They try new things, but to have all the loungers gone when we got on was disappointing. He did say that he allowed them to book on Saturday for the next week. I wish they had say booked only half, but it is what it is!:)

  11. Just got cabin assignment Looks somewhat obstructed. Can anyone tell me about this cabin.

Thanks for any information. Sailing Jan 27-Feb 6 Emerald Princess Cabin E-628

    Sally

We had E630 on the Emerald in February. Great cabin, no obstructions. If I can fugure out how to show the pictures of it, you might get an idea of what 628 will be.

Ok I have tried to post the pictures, but no success. Will keep trying so you can get an idea, I don't think it will be bad, but there is the end of a lifeboat there. But still probably great light.

  12. On the Emerald in February it was hit or miss. We asked for the drink special and the waiter did not seem to understand. It was to be margaritas and we ended up with Passion Drinks at full price. We did not go back. We did not receive an invite, but as Elite I knew it was there. We will try again in June on the CB.
