  1. There is a video on YouTube of a well seasoned cruiser who told the steward about the marijuana smoker on the balcony next door. It did not go well. The steward chose not to do anything (maybe worried about his tip?). Guest services & security got involved. The offender was belligerent and was caught on camera peaking over the divider into the other cabin. It was just an awful experience & No, it did not occur on Carnival...although I'm sure this issue can occur on any line and has nothing to do with income levels or class.

I tried searching for it, but to no avail. Have a link?

  2. We are there in March from 10 am til 7pm. I think it is very doable to go to the beach in the morning via glass bottom boat. Then once we are back from the beach, we plan on casually walking along Medano Beach for a massage at the Sand Bar, followed by lunch down below at their restaurant. Then just take a cab back to the pier. That is a nice and relaxing day.

  3. I know on occasion Carnival will do a discount promo code on Spa & Shore Excursion. I think the last one was Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Just wondering if they have any (if you know of one coming up) promo codes that may be in the works or that I may have missed on the Carnival FB page. I would like to book some excursions, but some of them...I need a little incentive to book through Carnival directly.

  4. I went through the boards and I could not see it posted anywhere, but it states on Carnival policy that if you are over 21 years old you may bring one 750 mL bottle of wine or champagne. My question is, I can’t drink entire bottle of champagne in one sitting, Would they allow you to bring two bottles (splits) that are 375 mL each? There are 2 of us so I was hoping to bring 4 375mL bottles. Do you think this would be allowed, or definite no go?

  5. How were you able to get that? They told me it doesn't apply for the spa passes, botox or accupuncture.

Well, they were wrong. Just go to your booking, click on spa ...find the couple's or single pass, upon check out put in ALL CAPS...CSPA20 in the promo code section, and bam...it should work.

  6. We are booked on a 7 Day Splendor next March 24th out of Long Beach, a Spring Break cruise for my wife and (10 year old) daughter.

    Hi There:

I see you are on the same cruise we are. Come on over to our roll call and also join the "meet & mingle". We are bringing our 10 year old daughter on this cruise with us as well.

  7. 1st cruise...June 30th 1991, 7 day Mexican Riviera. Had just graduated high school and there were 4 of us in an inside cabin (we each paid $750.50....seems quite expensive thinking about it now). All of us, but one, were 17, (he was 18), we were so nervous that they were not going to let us board. No worries...got on board (still remember our cabin steward -"Trip"). We had the best 7 days...drank, gambled, won the pie eating contest, danced on the tables at Senior Frogs in Mazatlan...good times! I have tons of pics...just need to find them.

  8. Call me crazy or maybe I am misreading this, but it looks like in order to get any type of credit, the cruise has to be booked directly with AMEX travel. Can someone please verify/confirm this? Please see rules below:

  9. That is only $.38 cents a bottle....cheap in comparison to what you pay for a single bottle of water in a store. I thinks it is a very good price.

Exactly my point! Actually 37.5 cents per bottle, but no need to get technical. When was the last time anyone was in a "retail setting" and paid .38 for a bottle of water? Just last night, I paid $4.75 for a bottle of Dasani at the LA Forum. Is it ridiculous? ABSOLUTELY! But guess what...it's the cost of doing business and supply and demand. I will gladly pay a measly $4.50 for a 12 pack....and price is not the deciding factor. I am looking for convenience, weight/cost/shipping in luggage factors, easy gratification, etc...you get the point. If you are here complaining about $4.50 on a trip that will most likely cost you $1000's for a family...look at the big picture...you're on vacation, move on!

  10. Just wanted to make sure....Cabin 6232 on the Spirit is one of the largest on the ship for that size cabin? Any pics of it anywhere? Or go with the smaller cabin balcony in cabin 4220, the price difference is $140, but then again there are 2 adults and 2 kids.....I put a 24hr hold on the room, so I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your quick response.

  11. The kids get a daily program each night in the stateroom for the next day....just like the adult daily program. It lists all of the events for the day, the times ect. They can come and go whenever. If they are going to be out of the Fun Factory...it will list where the activity will be held.

The activities are all free. They only charge for 12pm-2pm and 5pm-7pm This is $6/hour/child. They also feed them as these are meal times. On sea days I think they require you to pick them up at least once during the day. It may be both times...now that I think about it.

The states thing is probably finding our about states, or state capitals. They actually may learn some things..which is also fun if they don't realized they are learning!

I remember seeing somewhere something where you can prepay $100 or something and that will cover all those additional hours:confused:
