I know the somewhat new rule the brought back of everyone in the room has to buy the drink package. I am traveling with a toddler which obviously doesnt get it but my mom is going to help watch my child and she does not drink at all. Is there any way of my wife and i buying the package and not my mother in same room?

Cool, I knew that was the old policy but didnt know if that was still the way it worked with the new non refund policy.

We have 4 in our room and is it considered a penalty to change one of the add on guests name. Its only a penalty to drop or cancel one of the guests, is that correct?

So it is my understanding that JS gets dinner options only to coastal kitchen. How do you access the resturant? I thought the 17th deck was not accessible without the Suite seapass card. Does the JS seapass card work to get up there? If so what stops it from working any time of the day etc...

I rented a VW Dune buggy in cozumel last OCT. There were several kiosks right off of the pier near the security checkpoint area near the shops. Very easy to find. I think i used Budget Rental (i think) blue and yellow logo. The guy was nice but I rented for all day unlimited mileage and I told him I wanted full coverage insurance zero deductibles. It cost $120.00 He said bring it back with the gas you used. I told him I didnt want to have to worry about finding a gas station with honest people that didnt rip me off cause im a tourist. He added $10 to the rental and said not to worry about it. So 130.00 for the day and no worries. I'm glad I did it this way because theres no chance of missing the ship and there were limited gas stations most on the north side of the island and we went south.

I can not speak specific for Liberty but Freedom did not have a Keurig in November. It was a very small pot with a pouch style coffee pod not a k cup style.

YES drink prices have increased in the past 3-4 years. Most of your menu items, which are limited are expensive. $10-$13 each plus tip. If you buy a rum and coke or vodka cranberry with Well liquors you will save a little money but not much. If you have more than 4 drinks a day which is fairly easy on a sea day, Get the drink package.

I personally prefer aft balconies. I have been on deck 7 3 times and deck 10 once (deck 10 is best) Deck 6 is the lowest of the aft balconies, your view is not as great as the higher ones. BUT I think any aft is better than a smaller side balcony. Your balcony will be more than double the size of an E category side balcony.

The cruise I booked on Monday is $119 cheaper today. The OBC dropped from 150 to 75 so that makes it $44 overall cheaper. No Sale for Cyber Monday

Voom usually cost around 12 to 15 per day depending if you get any C & A or pre cruise discounts. You n\may need to contact verizon Dial 611 from phone to check wifi capability.

I just got off of Freedom last week and also have Verizon. I have a Galaxy S5 and was able to text for free with Voom. I kind of stumbled onto this. I had my phone on airplane mode as usual. I also turned my data off seperately just in case. I continued to get text messages. Apparently if you use VERIZONS text messaging NOT Samsungs, it will work on wifi for free. I just called to verify any charges from last week and there are none. I probable sent and received 100 messages while onboard.

OK.. Now that I have a keyboard, things are easier to type.

 

We had reserved a Large Balcony stateroom on the Enchantment of the Seas, for their Halloween Sailing.. It was our first cruise as Diamond. I watched the prices for Jr Suites go down. I called and got to upgrade to a Jr Suite for what we had paid for our Balcony.. I was thrilled.. First Suite.

 

This trip was fraught with issues from the get go. I think the Gods were saying don't take this cruise.. Now I wish I had listened..

 

We got through the embarkation in little time, and was on board by Noon.. Went and got food from the Windjammer, and some drinks. Things are great, despite the Grey skies and spotty showers. It had been cloudy and raining in the area for the three days we were there.

 

We went to the NextCruise desk, and booked two more rooms for our kids for next year's Halloween Cruise. Things are going great. Announcement comes over the PA, room are ready.. I'm super excited.. Can't wait to see my suite.. Room 8630. The room is decorated and we have Champagne & Strawberries waiting for us. Friends did this for our Anniversary. It was cool.. Room was A LOT smaller than I had imagined it would be.. After all I have read about them, I was expecting something, but there was no "wow".. The closet was the same as others we have had, bathroom was same size, just had a bathtub, squeezed into it, (which didn't hold water)

and the balcony barely could hold two people..

 

Due to other issues on this trip, we were exhausted, and decided to lie down until muster. THAT is when the problems started.. Bed was comfortable enough, and pillows were thin but good enough.. However, the "elephants" above us, were having a great time. I figured someone was real excited about being on a cruise, and didn't give it much more thought..

 

Did our muster, met our stateroom attendant, Bhavesh. NICE guy, and very helpful.. Went down to dinner, and were thrilled with our two topper by a window.. Merilynn and Kevin were our servers, and Habib was our Head Waiter. All great, and food was quick, hot and delicious.

We head up to the Diamond lounge, for the first time. Willie and Gordon were working.. Willie is an awesome Concierge. We met some great people there during our cruise, and continued to meet them there each night, and stayed and talk with them for hours..

We then headed for Halloween Costume contest. Well run, organized and was a blast. We dressed up as "The Incredibles".. We did some dancing, drank another drink and headed to bed, still seeking that elusive nap we didn't get earlier. Sleep was something we would NOT get during this cruise.. Have to go vote. Will finish this evening, or earlier depending on the lines at the polling center.

I didnt assume anything! You complained about the size of your cabin and the "Elephants" above you having fun. YOU WEREN'T TALKING ABOUT OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE AS BEING ELEPHANTS WERE YOU BECAUSE THAT WOULDNT BE NICE! I'd love to hear the rest of your rant......maybe.

For one thing Enchantment is a smaller ship than several other classes, therefore the rooms are going to be a little smaller, I bet it was larger than Majesty and Empress JS! Even the website shows 247sq ft JS as opposed to a Freedom Class having a 297 sq ft JS.

Next thing is deck 8 is going to be louder because Enchantment has a lot of activities on the pool deck which is directly above you. They have a HUGE dance area by the Oasis bar and pools as well. So noise is going to be noticed until probably 11pm. Its a shorter cruise with Usually a younger crowd that likes to have fun while on vacation. It sounds like you didnt pick a great room location for someone that likes to nap or go to bed early. Hope your next experience is better.

I can confirm Freedom having hard mattresses even in a JS. I requested a mattress topper and it was still firm.

Ok,now that I caught your attention:D,I got news today about my upcoming MJ cruise,I am not happy with........of course,can't do anything about it...and I'm sure some will really want compensation.....
