If we are talking Reykjavik, there are taxis, but the Flybus is usually a much better price, unless you are more than 3 people

Any Idea how much a Taxi runs from the Port in Reykjavik to the Airport?  Thanks for your reply.

@70sGringo Victoria has a large dry dock that Cruise lines do use.

Victoria is not just a pretty face 😁

  3. Since the Radiance had to cut short it' s Alaskan Cruise last week, and had to cancel this weeks cruise due to Propulsion Problems, we are awaiting word on how many more cruises will be canceled, if any.  If an Azipod or Engine has to be replaced or repaired, does anyone have any idea how long this work will take?    Currently the ship is docked in Seward Alaska.  Does the ship have to go into Dry Dock to have these repairs made?  Waiting on word from Royal, as we have B2B cruises on her starting on 9/29.  Thanks

I will let you know how it goes for me in a few weeks.

Since my cruise is 14 days long, it is cheaper for me to buy the ATT cruise ship plan and the International Day Pass (which includeds unlimited data, talk and text) as I am in ports for 9 days. I do not plan to use any data on the ship so I will not go over. I know to shut off Background Refresh for the apps, not have Data Roaming on and will not be checking email. I will only be texting (and not Imessage, as that needs data) lol

Great, Looking forward to your results.  I did not think thst Imessage counts towards data as all texts are included within the ATT PLAN.  We also have 4 free days between us on each cruise for a total of 8 free days onboard to utilize between both cruises.  Agreed, with the $10 per 24 hour day pass good in all of our stops, Im trying to size up what to I need.

  5. Following this thread...loving the photo's and information!!  We will be going on the Radiance in October for the Canal Passage from San Diego to Tampa.  It's looking like Starlink isn't working to well on the ship.  We usually get the internet package...I"m questioning if it's worth it.  On bad days where the internet is out much of the day is Royal reimbursing you for a days outage...I have seen them do that before on some Transatlantic and Transpacific voyages.

It's called "wifi calling."  Since you will be on the ship, make sure your phone is placed in airplane mode.  If you have a wifi connection, turn wifi calling on in your phone.  You can also "facetime" if you have an iPhone.  Make sure you are in "airplane" mode of you may get charged ship charges of $2 a minute or more.

I thought you needed Surf & Stream Package to Facetime and use WIFI Calling.  It was my belief that Surf only allowed you to text and browse the internet, with no streaming nor calling.  Has this changed?

  7. This will be your 4th cruise on MSC using the Yacht Club.  Have loved the experience so far.  March will be our first time using Port Canaveral.  Just wondering,  when driving to the port.  Do  you park your car, then carry your bags from the parking lot to the Yacht Club Tent, or do  you pull up to the tent, drop off your bags, then go park your car.  No biggie, but I was just wondering.

    Thanks
