  1. Was on the Divina last year in the Yacht Club and took along a Sports Jacket. Will be going on the Seaside in November and will not take along a Jacket....so silly to wear a jacket in the Caribbean...I'm on vacation and will dress for comfort.:D:D

  2. With 53 cruises under our belts, I"d have to say...I like them all. Going on Celebrity Equinox in a few weeks, then going on MSC Seaside with a Yacht Club Suite in November. I do understand the loyalty thing, as you get more Perks. We are Diamond Plus on Royal, and that means Free Drinks at nightly event for a few hours, free internet time, free Specialty Restaurant, laundry, upgrades...and others. On Celebrity we are Elite, and their Perks are similar but a bit different than Royal. MSC does the status match, and we are Black Card on there. We sailed on MSC last year on the Devina, once again in the Yacht Club and were really WOWed! The MSC Loyalty Program, in my opinion needs to be upgraded. I do love each line....your on vacation...enjoy...but LOYALTY PERKS are a nice thing to have.

  3. We have done most of our cruises on RCCL and Celebrity....end of the month we will be sailing on the Equinox which will be our 53rd cruise that we have taken. Last year we tried MSC, and upgraded to their Yacht Club....we were really WOWED! Loved it so much that we are doing the Yacht Club again on their new MSC Seaside in November. When we got dropped off our Butler came to a tent set up outside and carried our baggage on board, and got us all checked in via a private waiting area. Our food was fantastic....unlimited top shelf drinks. With that being said, we still love RCCL and Celebrity...but in my opinion...give MSC a try.

The status match to Black Card was OK...but their loyalty program does not come close to matching Celebrity or RCCL.

  4. Is the week of Presidents Day heavier with kids than other weeks in February?

It’s only a one day holiday, but you never know.

YES! We took our Granddaughter this past Presidents Day on the Anthem. For us we were glad she had so many other children to play with.

  5. Have been on over 50 cruises so far....majority on RCCL. Never tried the Haven, but was turned off by NCL the way were nickel and dimes on there. After trying the Yacht Club on the Divina, we were vastly impressed and are booked again on the new Seaside in November.....THEY REALLY WOWED US!!!

  6. After over 50 cruises, with most of them being on RCCL...I"m also leaning towards tipping over. We tried the MSC Yacht Club and were really WOWed by the service food, drinks, and service in general. We are going on a Transatlantic next month, which is the last RCCL we have booked. We have 2 Celebrity, and 1 MSC booked moving forward. I have to agree with the original poster that the food in the MDR has gone WAY downhill. We did to the Coastal Kitchen a few months ago on the Anthem, and I do have to say the food and service in there were oceans above the MDR

  7. I have to say in the past I was a Royal Caribbean loyal passenger but have branched out in the past few years.. I do think their entertainment is tops. We have tried most of the major Cruise Lines and would rank them as: 1. MSC (Yacht Club) 2. Celebrity, 3. Royal Caribbean, 4. Princess 5. NCL

That's my ranking for what it's worth. I realize each individual has different experiences.

In reading this article and several others, one has to wonder how according to reports...multiple passengers tell us drug use was out in the open ... flagrant and notorious. The parties were drug-fueled and, as we reported, Taylor was so out of it he fell into unconsciousness on the dance floor and had to be carried to his room after allegedly consuming GHB.

One hopes that RCCL will step up their enforcement after this tragic death!

  9. Was in line a few years ago getting Crapes made in the Windjammer. This guy walks right in front of the line and tells the cook what he wanted. The cook just looked at him. I was next in line and the cook put the crape on my plate once it was ready. The guy trying to cut in said..hey that's mine. The Chef directed him to the end of the line. At that point he threw a 2 year old temper tantrum and threw his empty plate on the floor. I only wish security had been around and took care of the matter, but he just walked away in anger. We all just shook our heads.

  10. Just off Anthem on Saturday. We're D+ and enjoyed the CL on deck 12 aft even though it was a long walk and past cabins on that deck...Great views but I thought it was a strange location. Doors on both port and starboard to enter.

The DL was on deck 4 forward....with overflow in part of the Music Hall.

When I called the Crown and Anchor Desk I was told that the CL was converted to a Suite Lounge and Diamond Plus could not utilize it. Can someone please confirm if this is correct please?

    Thank You

  11. We completed a cruise in the MSC Divina during Hurricane Irma and can not say enough good things about the Captain, and Crew. There were a few occurrences were we did run into crew members that were not very good, however you run into that on every ship. We were in the Yacht Club, and are Diamond Plus, and had the Black Card Match. I can only speak to the Yacht Club experience and tell you that it is worth the extra bucks...service, food, drinks, and tons of extra perks was top notch. We booked the Yacht Club again on the Seaside and are really looking forward to it. By the way, I don't think that the Black Card match really gave you very much, but better than no match at all. You did get 2 for 1 Specialty Restaurants which was nice.

  12. We tried MSC with a status match of Black. We did the Yacht Club...and I have to say we were WOWed!! First Class all the way! Captain and Staff on the MSC Divina were fantastic. We liked it so much we booked another Yacht Club Suite on the Seaside. Best Pizza and Pasta and Gelato at Sea!! We can't really talk about much outside of the Yacht Club, which is a ship within a ship....but we did walk away impressed.

  13. I hope my situation works out as well. I was on the September 2nd sailing also. On the last night on board I attempted to book a future cruise on the Seaside. I was told the date I wanted was not open for sale yet. I knew this t be untrue, as I had already arranged for a Group on that sailing and the date is offered on the MSC web site. They talked me into booking another date, and was told I could change my date with no problem.

After being back a few weeks I called to change the date and had no problem. They did have a problem with the 25% off certificate, but told me that it would be processed manually within a couple of days. I will give them until Monday and check on it. But the onshore department was great to work with, the on board Future Cruise Consultants, not so much.

I agree with your assessment of the Future Cruise Consultant on that particular cruise. She should be fired...and I don't say that lightly.
