Great review by a fellow Buckeye. Some of your comments match our experience from August. And we really loved Curacao and Aruba also.

We were on Vista last month and had YTD. We did see dancing a few nights and I think it was those we went later than earlier.
Back to the original question. We had friends who had assigned dining and missed it. We had them come with us and asked the hostess if they could eat with us that night. It was around 9pm and they weren't that busy so they were allowed to. The hostess did tell us it wouldn't work the next night which was formal.

Well, you have them so you can see. I couldn't figure out how to copy them easily since they are tri-folds...so I ended up with 24 pictures

Everyone has a different view. We sailed it in August and thought it did seem crowded lots of times because of its layout. The buffet line always looked long but we never ate their anyway. I did go to Serenity one morning until 9am and it wasn't crowded but like someone said, not a lot of breeze there.
We checked out the Havana pool after 7 one night and it was nice. I don't think many realized that you could go there after 7. And everyday when we looked over the railing to see how crowded it was, it wasn't real crowded. At least not compared to the pools on the lido deck. Just depends on what you prefer.

I did southern itinerary last month and have them...just don't have a place to upload them but have been emailing them to those that ask and give me an email address. This is the thread that is also talking about them: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2453675

Loving the pics. Went on the Vista a few weeks ago and haven't written my review yet. How do you set up your pics at that web site? I want to be able to share mine also. Thanks

Can't wait to read the rest. We did the same itinerary two weeks before you but I just haven't gotten around to reviewing it yet. We had some of the same issues when we got to the port.

wow...who knew just by keeping my fun times would get me so many friends. All who have requested should have gotten my copies of them. If any of you who got them have a place you can post them for others, lots would probably like that. Should I ever finish my review of our cruise, I'll put a link here since this thread is really about the fun times.

all those that requested them, should have fun times email from me now. If you don't, let me know.

Tiffany, Robin, Debra and Lynn,
You all should have mail.

If you're not able to post them, would you mind emailing them to me? I'm sailing in 3 weeks and I've been looking everywhere for these.

Did anyone happen to find the Vista Funtimes for the 8 day Southern itinerary? If so, could you post or email them to me?
Thanks!
I have them but haven't figured out where I can post them.

They have a salad bar on Serenity?? Sweet:D
Is it like every other ship and you need to get up by 7:00 to get a lounger?
I don't know but I do know that the one morning I did venture up there, there were plenty of seats when I left for breakfast at 8:30

This is a great tip. I am sailing on the Vista in two weeks. What deck is the Ocean Plaza on?
Just did Vista 2 weeks ago. Ocean Plaza is on deck 5.

We booked through Pro Excursions. Everything about the excursion was wonderful. Calm, clean ocean, delicious island buffet, excellent narration and education about La Romana on the way to our stops. We stopped at a couple of snorkeling spots and saw really cool ocean life.
I'd book this again in a heartbeat.
Glad you had a good one.

7. Anytime dining. The first night we tried to use anytime dining, we assumed it was like on NCL where you show up at the restaurant and they seat you (or give you a buzzer and seat you in 20 minutes). "
We actually like it. It was just wife and I. Yes, you have to check in and can do it anytime between 530-930. The first night we got in right away. The next night they said it would be 15 minutes for the 2 of us or we could eat with others. We ate with others and from then on, when we showed up, we said we'd eat with others if we could be seated right away. We enjoyed all our dinners.

We booked the Sanoa Isalnd excursion. It is still amongst my top five favorite excursions.
If it is the excursion from Seavis, we weren't that impressed with it.

Not sure about them but we were on Vista last August and we enjoyed the MDR more than the buffet.
